Romon moved slowly through the dark cavern. Of course, to Romon, a Sacred Domain, every corner of the cave was visible down to the finest detail.
Countless caves glimmered faintly with demonic light. Romon secretly clicked his tongue, thinking that a forbidden zone truly was a forbidden zone. If he had not obtained the memories of Demon Count Kasas, charging in would have meant being besieged by a demon legion.
As he passed through one area, Romon paused slightly and looked up. A dense stench of blood rushed into his nostrils.
Romon narrowed his eyes and saw an enormous Altar ahead.
Within the Altar was a pool of red liquid, the result of countless sacrifices. Looking at it, Romon was secretly alarmed, but also secretly delighted.
According to the memories, this Altar was where the portal lay.
Even more worth celebrating was that Romon did not need to activate it with a blood sacrifice now. This thick blood was actually energy accumulated upon the Altar. By consuming part of it, he could open a gate leading to the Main World.
Romon thought for a moment, then softly chanted several mysterious spells. As the incantation rang out, a bridge of bones connecting to the Altar emerged.
Damn! It really is cautious and vicious! Romon thought to himself. From the memories, he knew that although there was a path to the Altar, taking that path would mean no number of deaths would be enough—it led directly into the Abyss.
Only this bridge was relatively safe.
Romon stepped onto it. Upon reaching the platform, he again murmured several mysterious spells. As the incantation continued, the Altar began to tremble. Then blood-red light appeared, and a door formed entirely of bloody radiance floated into view.
Without hesitation, Romon stepped forward and vanished from the
