Background

Five years before the current story, Bai Yi used Omniscience to create the Abyssal Void, seal the Abyss Demons, and erase humanity's memories of both the demons and the Abyss's true nature. The act cost her the powers she formerly possessed as the Omniscient One, leaving her Hall of Fame shattered. 67 73 107 123

Despite this loss, Bai Yi remains an independent Magical Girl with no public account or followers. Rather than participate in the modern idol system, she continues protecting the Black Wall and confronting threats connected to the demons she sealed. 123

At Thousand Feathers High School, she serves as president of the Omniscient Wish Society, a club that researches Magical Girls and organizes related activities. She personally recruited Zhou Mo after sensing that he possessed an unusual quality, using her Magical Girl identity—and the threat of memory tampering—to pressure him into joining. 14 15

Protection of Molis

Bai Yi intervenes during the Witch attack on Molis, destroys the Worm Monster, and causes the remaining Witches to surrender immediately. 121

After learning that Molis was Abyss Nest's highest-priority Witch-conversion target, Bai Yi refuses Mo Li's proposal to assault the organization directly. She instead states that Abyss Nest should eventually be left to Molis, implying that she expects Molis to become a decisive future force. 122
