Background

Liu Yan’er was the Blissful Sect’s Holy Maiden and operated through the House of Ten Thousand Beauties, an establishment owned by her sect. From there, she secretly monitored Lu Chen’s movements, discovered his hidden activities, and attempted to seize his treasure for herself. She demanded that he consume a Blissful Gu Pill and become her male slave. 38

Her scheme failed after Lu Chen resisted her coercion, forced the Gu Pill back on her, and placed a Divine Sense Brand on her through the God-Slaying Forbidden Curse. The brand made her life subject to his will, transforming their relationship into an imposed master-disciple arrangement. 39

Despite the coercive beginning of their association, Liu Yan’er became a valuable source of intelligence and resources for Lu Chen.
