"Pfft~~~"
Kushina burst out laughing.
Mikoto Uchiha was laughing so hard she could barely stop.
You only know how to bully me. Sob, sob, sob... Sis, when are you coming back?
Uh... maybe she shouldn't come back after all.
Remembering that life would become even harder once his sister returned, Nawaki decisively cast that thought aside.
Creatures like big sisters were better off staying on the front lines a little longer.
Though Jingyi occasionally bullied him, at least he did not keep an eye on him all day long.
Tsunade was different. He could get beaten up at any moment.
Resigned to his fate, Nawaki rolled his eyes and decisively stopped talking, obediently lowering his head to eat.
By the time they finished dinner, the sky had grown dark.
Mikoto Uchiha hesitated over whether she should take her leave and go home.
Noticing her hesitation, Jingyi stood up first.
"Come on, I'll walk you home. We can work off the meal while we're at it."
"Then I'll trouble you, Senior."
Mikoto Uchiha bowed stiffly as she thanked him.
"I want to go too..."
Glancing at the dishes in the basin, Kushina pouted high enough to hang a pot from it.
Unfortunately, it was her turn to wash the dishes today. The little girl could not leave even if she wanted to tag along and walk off the meal.
After leaving the house, Jingyi glanced at Mikoto Uchiha, who had kept her head lowered the entire way toward the Uchiha compound. After thinking for a moment, he said to her,
"Mikoto, you're Kushina's good friend. Since you acknowledge Kushina as your sister and value this friendship, don't let the family's pressure get to you."
"Senior."
Mikoto Uchiha raised her head and gave him a gentle smile, though it was somewhat forced.
