Arc 16Alliances and Jinchūriki
Jingyi helped Konoha sell intelligence on Perfect Jinchūriki and form an alliance with Kumogakure, while Kirigakure ended its internal conflict and rejected Ōnoki’s alliance offer. The Third Raikage brought Killer B to Konoha, where Jingyi began training him.
- Yagura’s guards repelled an attack in Kirigakure, and Jingyi told Yagura that other villages planned to buy intelligence on Perfect Jinchūriki before returning to Konoha with Kushina and the others.
- Jingyi persuaded the Third Hokage to sell the intelligence and explained the risks of alliances, while Konoha’s elders debated whether to ally with Kumogakure or Iwagakure.
- Jingyi backed Fugaku Uchiha’s response to Police Force interference, and the Uchiha withdrew from duty until Fugaku dismissed the Shimura Clan members and the Police Force began recruiting civilians.
- Chiyo, Ōnoki, and the Third Raikage negotiated for Konoha’s intelligence, and Konoha and Kumogakure agreed to an alliance that included Konoha’s help training a Jinchūriki.
- After the alliance alarmed Iwagakure, Ōnoki sought Kirigakure’s support, but Yagura ended the village’s factional struggle with Genji’s backing and rejected Ōnoki’s offer.
- Jingyi warned Jiraiya to take better care of Nawaki after the boy was injured on a mission, and Tsunade later visited Nawaki in the hospital with him.
- The Third Raikage brought Killer B to Konoha, where Jingyi agreed to train him and urged him to develop his chakra control, use more of the Eight-Tails’ chakra, and gain Gyūki’s acceptance.
