Using Kotoamatsukami on Danzo

Kakashi stared straight into Shisui's eyes. "Promise me, Shisui."

Shisui had never seen his friend so serious before, and his expression shifted involuntarily.

"If Danzo makes a move against you, use Kotoamatsukami on him immediately. Plant in him the idea of how to properly protect Konoha," Kakashi said.

"Alright, I promise you!"

Thinking of how his friend had always made the right choice in crucial matters, Shisui gritted his teeth and agreed.

Kakashi patted Shisui's shoulder. "We can think of another way to deal with the Uchiha Clan situation. Keeping you safe is the most important thing right now."

Shisui nodded, his heart heavy.

He had clearly resolved to sacrifice everything for the village, yet the resistance came from the village's own upper ranks. It was an awful feeling.

The following evening, Kakashi lay on his bed studying the problem of integrating Senjutsu Chakra.

After researching it for some time, he felt that he had gained some ideas.

Sage Art had helped him enormously. Not only could it allow him to practice Senjutsu outside the sacred lands, but it also allowed him to modify Senjutsu Chakra according to his own ideas.

Just then, a hoarse voice suddenly came from outside the door.

"Kakashi, it's me!"

Kakashi opened the door to find Shisui's somewhat haggard face before him.

It was obvious that Shisui had not been doing well these past two days. His heart had probably been tormented.

He had to endure both the guilt of betraying his own clan and the grievance of being distrusted by the village's higher-ups.

"Come here!"

Without another word, Kakashi pulled the confused Shisui over and gave him a big hug.

Only then did Shisui's expression improve somewhat. It was precisely because Konoha had comrades like Kakashi, whom he sincerely acknowledged, that he was willing to sacrifice his clan's interests for the village!

"Kakashi, you were right. Danzo really sent someone to contact me. He said he had important matters to discuss and told me to go alone," Shisui said gravely.

"Remember what I told you. The moment Danzo makes a move, use Kotoamatsukami on him."

Kakashi lightly stroked his forehead protector as countless thoughts flashed through his mind.

"I'll follow behind you from a distance, just in case."

"Personally, I think you should just use Kotoamatsukami on Danzo the moment you see him."

Kakashi smiled as he spoke to Shisui, trying to help him relax.

"Don't worry, Kakashi. If Danzo makes a move, I'll activate Kotoamatsukami," Shisui readily agreed.

Kakashi nodded. The two left the house one after the other and headed for the location Danzo had designated.

Kakashi followed far behind, keeping his distance from Shisui. Otherwise, he would be easily spotted by Root's people.

As he watched Shisui arrive at an empty clearing, Kakashi concealed himself atop a nearby tree and calmly observed the situation from above.

Danzo emerged from the shadows. "You've come, Shisui."

Shisui asked evenly, "Lord Danzo, what did you call me here for?"

"I merely wanted to talk with you about the Uchiha Clan..." Danzo said as he slowly approached Shisui.

"As a member of the Uchiha Clan, would you truly harm your own clansmen for Konoha's sake?"

Shisui nodded resolutely. "The village's interests come above all else!"

Danzo chuckled. "Your ocular technique is extremely powerful. What if one day you suddenly decide to betray the village and turn back to the Uchiha Clan?"

"If you use Kotoamatsukami on me and the Third Hokage, we may become your puppets without even realizing it. Konoha would then become the Uchiha Clan's possession."

"I would never do such a thing," Shisui said with absolute conviction.

"It would be better to entrust such power to this old man. I cannot rest easy leaving it in the hands of the Uchiha Clan!"

By then, Danzo had already reached Shisui. He suddenly sprang forward and lunged for Shisui's eye.

Though Shisui had been mentally prepared, seeing Danzo truly attack him still left him somewhat disappointed in Konoha's higher-ups.

"Kakashi was right after all..." Shisui murmured as he dodged Danzo's grasping hand.

"Kakashi?!"

Upon hearing that familiar name, Danzo inexplicably felt a sense of impending disaster.

Kotoamatsukami!

In Danzo's vision, a square shuriken spun faster and faster, growing larger and larger until it gradually consumed his entire mind.

"Lord Danzo!"

Four Root members cried out in alarm and charged toward Shisui.

Kakashi muttered softly, and powerful lightning-natured chakra instantly claimed four living lives.

He dropped down from the tree and asked with concern, "Shisui, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Good thing you warned me, Kakashi," Shisui said sincerely.

"But how should we handle the aftermath now?"

Seeing Shisui's somewhat bewildered look, Kakashi smiled faintly and said mysteriously, "Don't worry. I've already prepared a contingency plan."

"Just leave Danzo on the ground for now. Come with me. You need to 'jump off a cliff.'"

"Huh?" Shisui could not quite follow Kakashi's train of thought, but his legs were already following Kakashi.

"I arranged for Itachi to come to the cliff's edge in your name. You need to 'kill yourself' in front of him," Kakashi said.

"You want me to fake my death, then use it to stimulate Itachi into awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan?"

Shisui was very clever and immediately guessed Kakashi's plan.

Kakashi teased, "That's right. With the relationship you two have, if he doesn't awaken the Mangekyō after you jump, I think you should cut ties with him."

"Hahaha, you're terrible, Kakashi. But why do I feel a little excited when I think about Itachi's shocked expression?"

A faint smile crossed Shisui's face, and his mood improved somewhat.

"Alright, I'll wait for you here."

As they neared the cliff, Kakashi stopped and began dressing Shisui up.

"Your clothes won't do. Tear this part up."

"Come on, don't move. I got some blood from those Root guys just now. While it's still warm, let me smear some on you."

Shisui was somewhat speechless. "Kakashi, this is a bit too..."

"If you're putting on an act, go all the way. Hurry up. Itachi is waiting for you over there."

Kakashi waved Shisui off, signaling for him to go quickly.

Standing at the cliff's edge, Itachi seemed to sense something and turned around, only to see a trembling figure walking toward him.

"Shisui?!"

Itachi could hardly believe his eyes. Shisui's clothes were tattered, and blood stained his body. He had clearly been through a fight.

What shocked Itachi even more was that Shisui's right eye remained tightly shut, with blood all around it.

"Could it be?!"

Itachi clenched his fists as a terrible thought flashed through his mind.
