Lu Xiaojiu's awakening came without warning.

He came down with a high fever on a rainy night.

At the graceful curve of the nape of his neck, a Diamond-grade Energy Crystal slowly condensed amid his restrained breathing.

Energy patterns flickered across his face, while black panther ears and a tail appeared from time to time as though playing hide-and-seek.

Yu Tu, however, went pale.

The tip of a white vine pierced a tiny bit of Lu Xiaojiu's skin. In Yu Tu's mind, he saw the black panther origin belonging to Lu Xiaojiu, hidden within his blood and veins.

The origin lit up due to the awakening. What should have been a flawless Diamond-grade origin had a small notch on its right side because of the injuries he had suffered on the abandoned planet.

"Why did this happen..."

Yu Tu trembled all over and muttered softly,

"Why... why did he have to awaken..."

An Energy Master awakening while his origin was damaged was not a good thing.

A damaged origin would consume an Energy Master's lifespan. It was no different from a death sentence.

More importantly, after an origin was damaged, the chance of awakening was actually minuscule.

Yu Tu looked at Lu Xiaojiu, feeling as if his whole body had been plunged into ice.

He took out the last vial of origin hibernation agent. Today had originally been the day for the final injection...

"No... perhaps there's still a chance."

Yun Baihe's origin had been damaged after its premature awakening caused excessive depletion. Yu Tu had tried to help him repair it, but his healing power had been completely useless.

Then Yu Tu had tried using his own origin to heal him.
