Ning Family upbringing

Ning Daozhen originates from Ningchang Island and is a direct descendant of First Elder Ning Zhongyuan's lineage. As a youth, he possessed cultivation and authority far beyond his age, enough that other Ning Family children feared him despite their seniority. 40

He first meets Ning Fa in Cui Ning Courtyard after intervening when Xiao Yu is bullied. Ning Daozhen cuts the vines restraining her with a golden air blade, lowers her safely with an azure wind ball, then publicly punishes the instigator and warns the girls never to target Xiao Yu again. 40

Ning Daozhen and Xiao Yu are close in age and maintain a friendly relationship. When Ning Fa later relays Xiao Yu's message that she wants to compete to see who reaches Foundation Establishment first, Ning Daozhen is visibly pleased. 201

Ning Daozhen investigates a hidden cave dwelling using a humanoid puppet, discovering that its true location is on the Ning Family's Spirit Deer Island. 168

When Ning Jiannan's group reaches the cave dwelling, Ning Daozhen murders Ning Jiantao and the others to collect blood needed to break the Blood Gloom Restriction. He openly dismisses the consequences of killing fellow clan members, reasoning that no one will remain to report him. 204

Zhuo Qing recognizes him as the Son of Sacred Blood, a major Blood Heaven Sect figure chosen by the Sacred River to become the sect's future master. 528

Ning Daozhen later reveals that his original name is Jiang Chun and that he is a direct descendant of the Blood Heaven Ancestor, the Blood Heaven Sect's founding patriarch. His fragmented divine soul is the result of an extremely costly reincarnation method. 542 1062
