Spirit Rings and Development Paths

Spirit Rings are selected according to the intended development of a Martial Soul. Mu Jin stresses that a Soul Master must establish a suitable path before choosing compatible Soul Beast attributes. 37

Wang Xiao develops the Blue Silver Emperor around vitality, healing, support, defense, and control rather than poison or paralysis. His first ring comes from the Life Origin Tree specifically for its exceptional regenerative properties. 8 9 69

Absorbing an overly old Spirit Ring is normally lethal: ordinary first-ring Soul Masters are expected to remain below roughly five hundred years, while even gifted individuals are thought capable of only seven- to eight-hundred-year rings. Twin Martial Souls

Martial Soul Fusion Skills

A Martial Soul Fusion Skill is created when two compatible Martial Souls resonate and combine their users’ power. Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu form the Hell White Tiger, while Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo create Heavenly Net. 42 48 50

Such skills can greatly exceed the normal strength of their individual users, but they may still be countered through superior technique, analysis, or overwhelming external power. Wang Xiao defeats both Heavenly Net and the Hell White Tiger with self-created techniques and Susanoo. 42 50

Wang Xiao's Martial Souls

Blue Silver Emperor

Wang Xiao’s Blue Silver Emperor manifests as golden-green grass or a small golden-green tree with intense vitality. Its life force allows rapid Soul Power recovery after exhaustion and enables restorative support techniques. 9 13 30

• Parasitism — An innate skill that allows Wang Xiao to seed an area with Blue Silver Grass, then rapidly grow vines into restraints or cages. 9 16 37
• Unnamed Life Tree — Condenses a golden-green tree that restores roughly ninety percent of Soul Power, heals injuries, and slowly nourishes the body of anyone carrying it. Wang Xiao can currently create one per day, and its effectiveness falls sharply against those a major realm above him. 9
• Healing Soul Skill — Obtained from the 25,000-year giant-vine Spirit Ring; restores approximately ninety percent of injuries for a target of the same realm. 69
• Unnamed Spiritual Defense Skill — Obtained from his third Blue Silver Emperor Spirit Ring; grants resistance to a certain degree of spiritual attacks. 69
• Blue Silver Overlord Spear — A weapon-form ability unexpectedly gained from the 35,000-year Blue Silver Grass Soul Beast. 69

Ice Devil Fruit

The Ice Devil Fruit appears within Wang Xiao’s inner world as a blue banana bound by nine chains. He initially cannot use its powers; ice manipulation begins after his Soul Power reaches level eleven, and further major breakthroughs shatter additional restraints. 10 69

• Sealed progression — One chain is broken by level fifteen; three are broken after Wang Xiao reaches Soul Elder, progressively releasing more of the Fruit’s power. 10 69
• Ultimate Ice potential — Its ice attribute is regarded as Ultimate Ice after Wang Xiao reaches Soul Elder, with the potential to surpass it as further chains break. 51 69
• Self-created techniques only — Spirit Rings strengthen the Ice Devil Fruit but do not grant predetermined soul skills. Wang Xiao must develop techniques himself. 68 69
• Icebound Mile — A large-scale freezing attack used to instantly trap Blue Wolf in an ice pillar. It is not a Spirit Ring skill; Wang Xiao creates it using the Ice Devil Fruit with borrowed Nine-Tails chakra. 11 12
