Of course, Fu Junlin had not learned it out of thin air.
During his final two years of high school, he had always been the class representative for lab courses. Back then, the most advanced piece of equipment in the high school lab had been a Ten-Armed Semi-Automatic.
In the entire class—even the entire grade—no one dared claim they could handle a Ten-Armed Semi-Automatic better than Fu Junlin.
Or rather, no one had been more obsessed with staying in the lab than him.
Everyone else liked going out, training, and occasionally taking on missions. They had seen plenty of blood and battlefields early on, accumulating combat experience.
But when Fu Junlin had first gone on Arena Zone missions as a freshman, bloody battlefields had often left him frozen in shock.
He controlled the ten mechanical arms to dismantle the crystal block.
Next came separating the energy plates within the crystal block into layers.
They were like chocolate wafers stuck together. The energy plates were the wafers, while the energy gel was the cream sandwiched between them.
And when the energy plates were opened, the dense circuitry and nodes within were enough to make anyone's scalp tingle.
Even a maximum-powered magnifying glass could barely make them out, let alone mechanical arms operating on them.
At this point, Fu Junlin took a deep breath.
Yet the scene, surrounded by hundreds of people, was as silent as a tomb on a winter night.
Zhang Cheng held up both hands, signaling everyone not to make a sound, while his hands trembled uncontrollably in midair.
"It's your turn!"
Fu Junlin said to Big Black in his heart.
The moment he spoke, Fu Junlin felt a mysterious energy surge from within him and rush straight into his brain.
It was an incredibly profound sensation. A subtle electric current passed through his palm, connecting to the mechanical arms and then to the Battle Flag Crystal Block.
Then, that current actually flowed back into his brain.
It formed a clear circuit map in his mind.
It was vast and complicated, yet exceptionally clear, as though he were a microorganism floating amid skyscrapers and enormous cables!
It was a wondrous field of vision.
Fu Junlin's eyes gradually lit up.
Was this the ability gained after unlocking the Gene Lock??
Was this the perspective of Biological Vision?
At that moment, Fu Junlin suddenly began to yearn for the possibility Big Black had described.
The possibility that he, too, could break through the Gene Lock and obtain such terrifying abilities!
After the excitement passed, Fu Junlin hurriedly began the repairs.
The repair process he needed was simple: remove six of the circuits running through the output Capacity Expander, lower the output power, and thus reduce the backflow power until it fell below the stability threshold of the explosive circuit.
But those circuits had an order to them, like dragon's beard candy—countless threads tangled and layered atop one another.
To remove six without damaging the circuits, he first had to dismantle every circuit pressing down on them, then remove the target circuits, and finally reinstall the others.
Fu Junlin proceeded with extreme care. The finest needles, tweezers, blades, and soldering tools on the mechanical arms were all used to their fullest extent.
A full twenty minutes passed. Sweat dripped from Fu Junlin's forehead, soaking a small patch of the floor.
Finally.
"Ah!!~~~"
Fu Junlin pulled back his painfully sore hands and cried out to ease the pain.
The crystal block on the operating table had already been completely reassembled.
"Junlin, did... did it work?"
Even Zhang Cheng's voice had begun to tremble.
Fu Junlin smiled, but he did not answer immediately. Instead, he removed the crystal block and handed it to Wang Kai.
Then he walked over to the truck, casually took three more damaged Battle Flag Crystal Blocks, and placed one on the operating table.
"One success doesn't count as success. After all, we're saving an entire batch of goods. Let's first see whether the recorded parameters can be used."
Fu Junlin smiled at Zhang Cheng, then operated the Parameter Locking Device.
When he pressed the switch, the ten mechanical arms began moving automatically.
They dismantled, separated, slowed down, and removed the circuits.
But because the machine was operating automatically, it eliminated the hesitation Fu Junlin had during manual operation. This time, the reassembly took only nine minutes.
Half an hour later, the operating table had automatically finished repairing all three Battle Flag Crystal Blocks.
If these crystal blocks worked, then all the others could be processed according to Fu Junlin's parameters and returned to normal use.
Wang Kai could barely wait to take the crystal blocks to another operating table. After infusing them with energy, several waves of pure healing auras erupted.
Even Fu Junlin could not help moving closer. The lingering soreness in his arms from before immediately eased considerably.
Several more rings of light swept over him, healing him completely.
Wang Kai tested them one after another.
The first one had no problems.
The second one had no problems.
The third was perfect.
The fourth had no problems...
Boom!!
The crowd, which had long been restless with anticipation, instantly erupted when the fourth crystal block finished testing.
All the workers jumped three feet into the air in excitement, hugging the colleagues beside them.
They would not lose their jobs.
"Heaven has eyes, heaven has eyes..."
Zhang Cheng was already weeping uncontrollably. He kept murmuring those words over and over, his fists clenched so tightly they were nearly bleeding.
Wang Kai hugged Zhang Cheng and offered him a shoulder. Only then did Zhang Cheng collapse into Wang Kai's arms, his body shaking with silent sobs.
Fu Junlin, standing nearby, let out a long breath. Faced with Wang Kai's appreciative and incredulous gaze, he instead felt a little embarrassed.
He was somewhat uncomfortable with being the center of attention. Scratching his head shyly, he slipped into the office alone.
The workers naturally cheered as they watched Fu Junlin enter the office.
Only then did Zhang Cheng and the others rush into the office as well.
Saving this batch of goods meant saving their factory. As long as the Battle Flag Crystal Blocks were repaired, even if they tested every last one and drained all their energy—
The Battle Flag Crystal Blocks could still be recharged. What made such Battle Flag Crystal Blocks valuable was not the healing spell inside them.
It was the crystal blocks themselves. If they did not pay a deposit, they could buy the crystal blocks outright; if they did not intend to buy them, they had to pay a deposit and return the crystal blocks later.
These crystal blocks were functional items, entirely different from Energy Crystal Blocks, which were merely simple containers for storing energy.
"Junlin, Junlin! You're my savior, Zhang Cheng!"
Tell me, what do you want? Whatever you want, I'll give it to you! Factory shares, money—so long as you ask, I'll do everything I can to satisfy you!!"
Zhang Cheng closed the door. Only a few people in charge and Wang Kai remained in the room.
Fu Junlin glanced at Wang Kai.
Wang Kai's expression was somewhat unnatural.
Fu Junlin immediately knew what he should do.
In truth, he had known from the very beginning that even if he put in great effort and saved the factory, he could not make an exorbitant demand.
Because Zhang Cheng was, after all, a businessman.
A businessman put profit first. When someone was useful, they were valued; once the birds were gone, the bow was put away.
If he took Zhang Cheng's words seriously and truly opened his mouth to ask for factory shares, that would be utterly foolish.
But asking for nothing was impossible. He had already made plans.
"President Zhang, I don't want shares, but I do need two things."
Fu Junlin held up two fingers as he spoke.
Though Zhang Cheng's face did not change, no one knew what he was thinking. He made a grand gesture with his hand.
"Junlin, rest assured. I'm not the kind of person who repays kindness with ingratitude. Say what you want. As long as I can do it, I'll absolutely satisfy you."
