The second Mecha Master was named Duo Xinyu.
He was slightly plump and a little short, but his face always carried a guileless smile, making him seem easy to get along with.
He held something like a game controller in his hand.
Beside him, a robot twice his size and built like a tank was moving its body with surprising agility. Though somewhat crude, the robot carried no shortage of weapons.
There were also two Mechanical Beasts resembling giant scorpions at his sides.
A mechanical dog and more than ten utility robots circled around him.
These robots came in different colors and served different functions. The blue ones could discharge electricity, while the red ones could plant bombs. At critical moments, all of these utility robots could also self-destruct.
Sometimes, even a tiny robot could accomplish something huge.
The key was that Duo Xinyu alone possessed an entire force of combat power.
Duo Xinyu removed several chips from the controller and stuck them onto his hands and temples.
With a slight twitch of his fingers, more than a dozen robots began moving at the same time.
The main ability that Melee Style required was multitasking.
Controlling all of one's mechas through thought was nowhere near as simple as it looked.
The last one was a Blade-and-Sword Enchanter.
Chen Keyu.
This was the Chen Keyu who had fought the Minotaur alongside Fu Junlin last time.
Though he was somewhat hot-tempered and arrogant,
there was no denying that he was one of Class Three's best Blade-and-Sword Enchanters.
In the latter half of his senior year, he had broken through to Level-One Master and entered Entry-Level Two.
Besides his exceptional talent, it was also inseparable from his diligence and hard work.
Chen Keyu carried an enormous greatsword on his back, its broad blade resembling a Door Panel.
A faint layer of red light shimmered across the blade.
Blade-and-Sword Enchanters were not limited to blades and swords. They infused weapons with elements converted from Passive Energy, combining physical attacks with elemental strikes. Along with their astonishing physical strength, they were versatile fighters with formidable combat power.
The larger the weapon, the heavier its attacks naturally became. Yet once they switched to lighter weapons, they could change their tactics entirely, making them standouts in close combat.
As for Fistmasters!
They were pure physical-destruction attackers who did not rely on elements.
They excelled at using tremors triggered by Passive Energy to shatter defenses and pierce armor. No one wanted to take a Fistmaster's full-power punch head-on.
"Move!"
After checking everyone's condition, Shi Hongyu took the lead and entered the Light Gate.
Fu Junlin and the other War Banner Master followed behind the group.
The other War Banner Master was called Chen Zhengfeng. He was chubby and also a fairly capable War Banner Master.
The moment they entered the next Arena Zone, Fu Junlin heard dozens of roars erupt at once.
This Arena Zone was the size of a football field, but there were more than thirty monsters inside.
The most numerous were enormous gray lizards, more than twenty of them. They were each nearly two meters long.
Both their claws and teeth had become extraordinarily sharp and exaggerated.
Their claw tips were practically blades, as if they had evolved solely into killing machines.
Ever since the Arena Zones appeared, all living creatures seemed to have been evolving toward slaughter, humans included...
The group first looked at their eyes.
Though every one of those lizards possessed soul-chilling eyes that sent shivers through anyone who met their gaze,
fortunately, judging by the color of their eyes, they were Level-Two Blue-Blood Monsters.
What deserved attention were the three Giant Wolves behind them, their fur patchy and bald in places. They were nearly four meters long, and their eyes were red!
The monsters were still some distance away, charging toward them while letting out thunderous roars.
Before they even drew close, Fu Junlin could already smell the rank wind rushing at his face.
"Teleportation Intensity: 68%!"
Shi Hongyu quickly took out a small device and pressed it in the air. A number—68%—immediately appeared on its display.
She shouted the warning to everyone.
Whenever they entered an Arena Zone, as long as there was time, they had to determine its rules as quickly as possible. The most important of them was the Teleportation Intensity.
Only by knowing the intensity could they determine their fighting style—whether they could die carelessly, what injuries would trigger teleportation, and what injuries would not.
With a sharp cry, Shi Hongyu put away the device and said swiftly,
"Keyu and Xinyu, clear out the small fry! Leave the three Elite Monsters to me. Zishu, assist me!"
As soon as she finished speaking,
Shi Hongyu threw a punch directly into a leaping lizard.
The lizard's skin looked as jagged and hard as stone, but when Shi Hongyu threw that punch, even the air around her fist seemed to distort from the shockwave.
The energy source flashed with blue light.
The mutated lizard's entire body exploded with a deafening boom, shattering on the spot!
This was only the second time Fu Junlin had personally seen a monster explode before his eyes.
The first had been the self-destructing spiders they encountered a few days ago.
But those had self-destructed.
This was the first time Fu Junlin had seen something get blown apart by a single punch.
After all, he had only been on a few missions.
Truly inexperienced.
Shi Hongyu then spun around, her toned long leg sweeping up in a beautiful backward kick that sent another lizard flying six or seven meters away.
Following the path the lizard had smashed open, Shi Hongyu sprinted at full speed, charging straight through the pack of lizards!
Any lizard that dared attack from either side was either smashed aside by Shi Hongyu's fist or nimbly evaded.
Because the field was so vast, Shi Hongyu actually managed to pass straight through the lizard pack.
"Your target is over here!"
A few lizards tried to turn around and chase Shi Hongyu, but a furious shout came from behind them.
Then a gigantic flaming sword descended from above. Its blazing red radiance spat out terrifying heat, and the air in its wake smelled scorched.
One lizard was instantly cleaved across the body, nearly split in two. As the blade lodged in its flesh, a great fire erupted from it.
Blue-Blood Monsters did not have Energy Cores, so their corpses were worthless.
The other lizards realized there were more people present and immediately charged at Chen Keyu.
Clang!
A piercing sound of mechanical friction rang out as a mechanical dog leaped up from the side.
The mechanical dog's mouth was packed with small circular saw blades. Spinning at high speed, they could instantly bore through anything it bit.
One lizard reacted swiftly and turned to bite the mechanical dog.
When it clamped down hard, one of its fangs snapped off with a crack. The mechanical dog's waist casing warped and threw off a shower of sparks, but it suffered no serious damage.
But the lizard with the broken tooth was immediately smashed into the ground by a massive robot's fist.
Then the robot's fist began extending and retracting wildly.
It slammed down on the lizard's head again and again. "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
In less than three seconds, the lizard had taken ten punches. Its head had been driven completely into the ground, leaving only its tail twitching from time to time.
Beneath the feet of all the lizards, unnoticed by them,
a blue cube-shaped little robot with four wheels rolled beneath one lizard's feet.
Crackle—
Purple arcs of electricity burst from the blue little robot's hands.
But it was too slow. By the time it attacked, the lizard had already moved its foot away.
The blue little robot was also casually kicked over.
