Li Yuan helped the Rocks Pirates defeat the Navy’s fortress campaign, raided World Government nations, and joined the assault on God Valley, where Rocks was killed. After the survivors divided the spoils and held a Pirate Expo on Hachinosu, Li Yuan departed with a new fleet and thousands of recruits.

• Rocks led the Rocks Pirates to capture and destroy several Navy fortresses, while Li Yuan killed Army General Kaveh and helped break the stalemate at G4.
• Li Yuan acquired the Homie Yinwa, joined Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and Charlotte Linlin in seizing Celestial Gold, and reunited with Yadina and their children.
• Li Yuan raided the Alex Kingdom and other West Blue nations, taking their treasure and Devil Fruits while sparing commoners and securing Air’s cooperation.
• After learning of the God Valley ceremony, Rocks summoned his officers for an assault, while Golden Lion, Li Yuan, Whitebeard, and Charlotte Linlin planned to leave the Rocks Pirates afterward.
• The Rocks Pirates attacked God Valley, where Li Yuan fought Saint Horun and gathered Devil Fruits and treasure as the officers battled the World Government’s forces.
• Roger and Garp joined Saint Saturn and Saint Garling against Rocks, who died after being overwhelmed, while Li Yuan and the other officers escaped with their loot.

Li Yuan conquered Wano Country, strengthened the Limitless Pirates, and began expanding their territory beyond its shores. After securing Beloso Kingdom through an agreement with Umit, he returned to Wano and invested in his crew and its industries.

• Li Yuan recruited Asura Doji, defeated Oden Kozuki and Wano’s samurai, and took control of Kuri before conquering the rest of Wano and executing Kurozumi Orochi.
• Li Yuan’s forces captured Prince Garcia, fought Sengoku for five days on Sonina Island, and escaped before Zephyr arrived.
• Li Yuan formalized ranks among the Limitless Pirates, recruited Emile, and traveled with Shakky and Lazuli to bring his family from Nine Snake Island to Wano.
• Li Yuan prepared to expand his territory, sending Kano, Karu, and Bullet toward Preuss and Asura Doji and Mari toward Jeremy while he went to Beloso Kingdom.
• Li Yuan accepted Umit’s offer of rare sword-making ore in exchange for partnering with him, then took over Beloso Kingdom.

Li Yuan expanded the Limitless Pirates’ territory, defeated Marines and powerful swordsmen, and established himself as the World's Greatest Swordsman. During a family voyage to fund Net’s intelligence network, he recruited Enel and gathered treasures and discoveries before arriving at Drum Kingdom.

• Li Yuan allied with Golden Lion, John, and World to attack World Government Affiliated Nations, then fought Garp on Sokabu Island and fused two Sword Intents to wound him.
• Li Yuan made Asura Doji the Limitless Pirates’ first officer, claimed the title of the World's Greatest Swordsman, and brought his master Louis back to Wano.
• Li Yuan conquered the Kingdom of Hasumu, and Asura Doji defeated Howard Wolf and recruited him after Lazuli cured his children.
• Li Yuan and six other Great Pirates fought Sengoku, Garp, Zephyr, Army Generals, and CP0 on Sando Island, where Li Yuan killed Carlo Grosso and helped the pirates escape.
• Li Yuan trained his crew, learned that World Government spies were provoking pirate conflicts, and chose to focus on expanding the Limitless Pirates’ territory.
• Li Yuan defeated Red the Aloof, later identified as Count Redfield, in a ten-day duel, and Count Redfield acknowledged him as the World's Greatest Swordsman.

Li Yuan expanded the Limitless Pirates’ power, forged alliances, and led a raid on the Celestial Dragons that triggered a World Government mobilization. The arc ended as the pirate forces launched their war against the Marines and Army at G3 Fortress, with Li Yuan facing two Army Generals.

• Li Yuan subdued Abate, recruited doctors and their families, then defeated and befriended Dorry and Brogy before encouraging them to reunite Elbaf’s giant tribes.
• Li Yuan strengthened the Limitless Pirates’ territory by defeating Silver Axe and Brandon, then arranged a neutral zone and cooperation with Golden Lion while expanding shipbuilding and Devil Fruit training.
• Li Yuan led a coalition of major pirate crews across the Calm Belt to attack the Celestial Dragons’ festival at King of Balad, where he killed Saint Garling and Golden Lion killed CP0 Deputy Chief Segen.
• The pirates divided the treasure and Devil Fruits from the raid, while evidence of the massacre spread and the Five Elders began preparing the World Government for war.
