A newcomer joined the group—the fourth Morien.
Within the Synchronization Space, the four Moriens had already completed their sharing.
The three Moriens surrounded the newly arrived fourth Morien, whispering among themselves.
"You can't really be considered human anymore, can you?"
"You're already a Monster, aren't you?"
The Honkai: Star Rail Morien and the Lord of Mysteries Morien each chimed in.
"Yeah," the fourth Morien replied. "But aren't you kind of bullying me right now?"
"We are bullying you. Can't you tell?" Jujutsu Morien put both hands on his shoulders and gave him a shake. "We're companions of justice, so of course we have to bully Monsters mercilessly."
"Haha." The newly arrived Morien laughed twice, and the fluorescent patterns on his face visibly softened.
He came from the world of One-Punch Man.
After crossing over, he had arrived in the uninhabited zone of Z City.
Like the other Moriens, he had instinctively used his mask and entropy suppression to lower his presence. During his first two days, he avoided the Monsters scattered throughout Z City. Then, after accidentally spotting a bald man in a yellow bodysuit, he followed him into the only place in Z City that could barely be considered safe.
Saitama's apartment.
As it happened, Monsters appeared so frequently in this area that most of the original residents had moved away, turning Z City into an uninhabited zone.
So Morien had stayed there for several days, using the free water and electricity until he entered the Synchronization Space.
"And then you turned into the Lonely Monster because you were too lonely," Honkai: Star Rail Morien summarized. "Yeah, the One-Punch Man setting can be even more idealistic than Honkai: Star Rail sometimes."
"Indeed. Sometimes, people even become fruit Monsters because they like a certain fruit too much," One-Punch Man Morien replied.
"Like Strawberry Monsters or Durian Monsters."
"That's way too arbitrary."
"Your Monsterification was pretty arbitrary too, wasn't it?"
Lord of Mysteries Morien quipped.
"It was fine," One-Punch Man Morien said, blinking. "At least it was an extreme emotion, and it was most likely influenced by the Path of Propagation too."
"That's true."
After more than a week since crossing over, One-Punch Man Morien had completed his "Monsterification" in the world of One-Punch Man.
He had gained a body far stronger than that of an ordinary person, along with an ability unique to him.
It was called: "Déjà Vu."
Its effect was to make people subconsciously mistake Morien for someone they had a good relationship with.
However, judging by One-Punch Man Morien's abilities, it could currently only affect relatively weaker ordinary people. It had basically no effect on Monsters.
Stronger ordinary people or those with firmer wills could partially resist it as well.
Because he had been too lonely, he had gained an ability that made people subconsciously not reject him.
Jujutsu Morien smiled and said,
"Anyway, no matter what, I finally have the courage to take a look at what happens next."
The Moriens' strength had been further enhanced at this moment.
Jujutsu Morien's understanding of Cursed Energy, Lord of Mysteries Morien's advancement, and One-Punch Man Morien's arrival.
And also...
Honkai: Star Rail Morien gave a thumbs-up.
"According to my research, I found that it's almost impossible to make charms or use ritual magic in worlds other than the Lord of Mysteries world."
"In mysticism, most charm-making methods can be classified into two categories. One is praying to deities and performing rituals. The other is engraving symbols related to deities onto the charm, such as their honorific names, sacred numbers, and so on."
"The same goes for ritual magic."
He glanced at Jujutsu Morien and One-Punch Man Morien.
"But half our worlds don't have gods. There's nothing to engrave, and no deities to answer our prayers."
"My world has a god," One-Punch Man Morien pointed out.
"That god..." Honkai: Star Rail Morien frowned. "Doesn't count, does it?"
"Does it?"
"Probably not?"
"Anyway, that means that aside from a very small number of rituals that rely only on our own spirituality, our Mystery Pryers' ability to quickly set up rituals is basically useless."
"You can't put it like that," Lord of Mysteries Morien said, raising a hand. "I'm having a great time using them."
Unfortunately, none of the other selves were willing to pay him any attention.
"Until I discovered this."
Honkai: Star Rail Morien smiled and pointed at the mask hanging from the side of his face.
The other Moriens all nodded.
After all, they had synchronized memories. They were only listening to Honkai: Star Rail Morien because they wanted to ease the discomfort he felt from going so long without anyone to talk to.
"We can use the mask's status to pray to ourselves and answer ourselves."
"Everyone can give it a try later."
Honorific names were actually easy to solve. After all, they were the only transmigrators in their respective worlds. They just had to add titles like "one who crossed over together," "Propagation," "Mystery Pryer," "transmigrator," and "mask of Joy" into their honorific names to point them toward themselves.
Of course, there was still a chance that they would point to something other than themselves.
So, to make the target precise, Honkai: Star Rail Morien added more descriptions.
He expanded each section of the three-part honorific name to dozens of words.
"But this honorific name sounds way too lame," One-Punch Man Morien said, smoothly joining the discussion.
"True." The other Moriens nodded.
What decent person's honorific name took hundreds of words to recite like an incantation during prayer?
"We could make the final section 'the Royal Insect scattered across all worlds,'" Jujutsu Morien suggested.
"That's not bad, but it could easily point to other Royal Insects," Honkai: Star Rail Morien replied.
There were quite a few Royal Insects in the Honkai: Star Rail world, though no one knew how many were still alive.
If it pointed to another Royal Insect, Honkai: Star Rail Morien would have nowhere to run.
Although the Moriens dared to call themselves Royal Insects, they had not, in the end, received the recognition of the Swarm or Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of Propagation.
Don't be fooled by the fact that Morien could dominate weak opponents in the Jujutsu world and completely crush Haruta Shigemo after activating Resonant Propagation.
If he really encountered a true Royal Insect, Morien could only serve as a speed bump.
Oh, no.
Morien and the entire galaxy he was in could only serve as speed bumps.
After all, Morien did not even dare imagine how lonely a Royal Insect that had survived alone until now after the fall of Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of Propagation, would be.
And for Royal Insects, loneliness meant power.
"For now, let's see whether the Fortune-Concealing Insect Lineage I created can appear in other worlds," Jujutsu Morien said.
"We Mystery Pryers can digest it as soon as it enters our mouths, but we'll have to properly start learning how to digest Melee Scholar."
"I can go find Bang and learn Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist." One-Punch Man Morien raised a hand.
Previously, he had stayed in Z City only because he had been too scared to go outside at all.
Now that he had gained some strength, it would not be impossible for him to take a walk outside.
If One-Punch Man Morien had initially only been a Wolf-level Monster that was "barely threatening," he could now be considered a Demon-level Monster that "might cause an entire town to fall into paralysis."
"Come to think of it, does digestion through acting in other worlds actually work on potions?" Honkai: Star Rail Morien asked.
That question immediately stumped the other three Moriens.
"I don't know. The Sequence 9 potion was digested the moment it entered my mouth. This potion probably owes me hundreds of times more digestion progress," Lord of Mysteries Morien said in a smug way that would make every Sequence 9 want to beat him up.
"Then we can only try it," Jujutsu Morien said. "Practice produces true knowledge."
"Alright."
"OK."
"Fine."
