The spirits forcibly wrung from the atmosphere and the planet were compressed in an instant.
Glowing energy appeared in the hands of the three Flügel overhead, forming wavering, shapeless spears.
The order to "use Heavenly Strike" came from the green-haired Flügel leading them.
Her name was Azriel. She was the first Flügel created by the God of Combat and represented "perfection."
However, although Azriel gave the order, she did not act herself. Instead, three nearby Flügel condensed the spears.
"Heavenly Strike," Azriel murmured.
The three Flügel immediately hurled their spears downward at her command. Sensing that familiar power, Jibril instantly realized who had come.
"Oh, looks like your big sister came to save you."
Jibril's warning rang out almost simultaneously with Morien's voice.
"He has magic that can deflect energy!"
Her voice immediately reached the Flügel who had come to rescue her.
This was nothing incomprehensible. The Ex-Machina possessed similar technology.
Morien had no idea how Azriel gave her orders. She had clearly said nothing, yet the other Flügel instantly understood her intent and changed the trajectories of their Heavenly Strikes.
An interested expression immediately crossed Morien's face.
"Ha, now that's how the 'Resonance Curse Technique' should work."
He saw through it at a glance. Azriel communicated with the others in her group through magic similar to the Resonance Curse Technique, speaking directly inside her teammates' minds.
That was how such an ability should work. Morien's own approach seemed rather unorthodox by comparison.
The three Heavenly Strikes descended, but they were aimed not at Morien himself, but at the surrounding area.
Azriel made her judgment.
Since their target could deflect energy, they would attack his surroundings instead, using the ensuing chain explosions at three points to surround Morien and engulf him in the center.
It was a decent plan. Unfortunately,
