Xiao Wu is fiercely protective of Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. Tang Feng’s rejection of Yu Xiaogang’s offer and criticism of his qualifications infuriate her enough to seek Tang Feng out alone at night, intending to defend her companions’ honor. 3 4

She is impulsive and prideful, initially confident that her close-combat ability and greater Soul Power will let her punish Tang Feng. Her defeat humiliates her, but does not end her determination; after Tang Feng later defeats Dai Mubai, she still vows to fight him once she becomes stronger. 4 5 28

Story Role

Holy Soul Village confrontation

Xiao Wu accompanies Tang San and Yu Xiaogang to Holy Soul Village when they return to visit Tang Feng. She notices the brothers’ resemblance but also sees that Tang Feng is calmer and less guarded than Tang San. 1 2

When Tang Feng rejects Yu Xiaogang’s offer of mentorship and questions his qualifications, Xiao Wu repeatedly defends Yu Xiaogang. Tang Feng leaves her speechless by asking why she does not become Yu Xiaogang’s disciple herself, intensifying her resentment. 3

That night, Xiao Wu secretly goes to Tang Feng’s mountain training ground to confront him. She opens with Waist Bow and a sustained series of kicks, but Tang Feng reads her movements and traps her with Ruination Blue Silver Emperor vines. Though her Soul Power exceeds his, she cannot break free after his critical-hit-enhanced bindings suppress her Soul Power. 4

Tang Feng releases her without seriously injuring her, leaving red marks on her wrists and ankles. Humiliated, Xiao Wu returns to the village and later leaves with Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. 5

Shrek Academy and the exchange match

After Tang Feng defeats Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai, Xiao Wu wants to confront him again, but Tang San restrains her and reminds her that Dai Mubai initiated the conflict. She agrees to delay revenge until she is stronger. 28

During the Heaven Dou Royal Academy–Shrek exchange match, Xiao Wu partners with Tang San against Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan. Their coordinated offense repeatedly uses Tang San’s Blue Silver Grass to create openings for her close-range attacks, forcing Yu Tianheng to defend both himself and Dugu Yan. 32

When Tang Feng later faces Shrek alone, Xiao Wu repeatedly attempts to reach him with Waist Bow and teleportation. His Blue Silver Domain predicts her landing points, while his vines force her away from Tang San and prevent her from breaking Shrek’s encirclement. 33 34
