At certain times and in certain places, Nancy could experience Empathy with the dead. Before dying, they were usually filled with fear, pain, and resentment. Those emotions, along with flashes of what they had seen, flooded Nancy's mind all at once. No wonder her head hurt.
Through Spirit Sight, she saw a little girl in a white dress standing beneath a tree, claw marks and bite wounds from a beast across her chest.
The girl looked lost, unable to understand death.
She only wanted to leave and go home, but the tree bound her to the area beneath its canopy.
Geralt supported Nancy. "Let's get back to the car."
