History

Poison Slayer previously accepted another disciple, but personally executed him after the disciple betrayed him. The experience left him deeply distrustful of disloyalty; upon accepting Lin Yu, he declared that Lin Yu had no senior brother and was his sole disciple. 3

He brought Lin Yu to a hidden snow mountain in the Four Seas and Eight Wastes, where dense spiritual energy could control poisonous qi. There, he began remaking Lin Yu’s body by channeling poisonous qi into him, providing Magic Beast essence blood, and personally guiding the refinement through his meridians. 3

During a five-day blizzard, Poison Slayer implanted the Five Poisons True Scripture into Lin Yu’s bloodline and consciousness. He remained beside his ice-bound disciple throughout the inheritance despite being frozen himself, then warned Lin Yu to suppress his realm and strengthen his physical foundation rather than break through too quickly. 4

To complete Lin Yu’s poison body, Poison Slayer sacrificed three drops of his own essence blood—an injury serious even for him. While recovering, he confronted a spiritually aware Snowfield Ape, spared its life, and accepted five drops of its essence blood instead of killing it. 5

When Lin Yu’s Myriad Poison Body provoked heavenly lightning, Poison Slayer intervened and destroyed the tribulation with a single strike of his iron sword. 6

After roughly ten months of training, he sent Lin Yu away from the snow mountain despite the disciple’s reluctance, judging that Lin Yu needed to cultivate and survive independently. 8 He nevertheless continues to monitor Lin Yu in secret when the latter faces serious danger. 39 48 50

Personality

Poison Slayer is severe, direct, and uncompromising about loyalty. He promises to resolve any trouble Lin Yu causes if he knows of it, but makes clear that betrayal or cooperation with his enemies will be punished without mercy. His former disciple’s betrayal remains the foundation of this harsh rule. 3

Beneath this severity, he is deeply protective of Lin Yu. He personally searches for healing resources, washes food for his injured disciple, guides dangerous refinement processes, sacrifices essence blood, and secretly stands ready to intervene when Lin Yu is outmatched. 5 39
