Geer moved, and the countless blades filling the air shot toward the Barrier formed by the Destruction Squad.
The largest blades struck first.
Boom!
The tremendous impact sent ripples across the Barrier.
But it wasn't over.
It had only just begun!
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Close behind those massive blades came a dense, overwhelming tide of smaller ones.
They gathered in midair into a Blade Storm like a whirlwind of fire, instantly engulfing the entire Barrier.
Hiss, hiss, hiss!
The Blade Storm spun violently and compressed inward. The enormous Barrier creaked under the pressure, as though it could barely bear the strain.
Fortunately, it still showed no sign of breaking. This unusual Barrier, which combined a city's defensive shield from the Sunlight Plane with the Magic Network, was proving remarkably sturdy.
At least for now!
"Not bad. Looks like we can roll this out to every squad member! With just a few people serving as energy transmission points, plus the Magic Network's controlled output, they can withstand attacks nearly twice as strong as themselves!"
Mephisto reached out and touched the colorful Barrier, sounding impressed.
The other squad members who hadn't taken part were curious too. They couldn't understand how their former comrades had suddenly grown so much stronger or acquired so many strange abilities.
Agatha stared at the Barrier in utter disbelief.
She knew exactly what an energy shield was.
Her own family had an enormous one that covered dozens of miles. It had once held off a joint invasion by several Fourth-Level Demons!
