The space around him stalled for a moment, and Er Dongsheng reacted at once. He stared at the disk, his face changing in shock.
Tick... tick...
The illusory, lightning-shaped hand jumped slowly. It jumped rather than turned because, at intervals, it appeared in the center of another mark in an instant, as though teleporting.
A faint but powerful pressure emanated from the clock. The surrounding space twisted unnaturally, shuddering each time the hand jumped.
Crack!
A gear close to the clock presented a horrifying sight under the combined vibrations of the clock and space. One corner began to crumble, as though it had endured millions of years of wind and rain. Sparse holes riddled its surface, leaving it utterly rotten.
"Time Acceleration!"
But before Er Dongsheng could recover from his astonishment—
The fist-sized clock gave off a hazy glow. A strange aura rippled outward, and the illusory Lightning Hand rapidly spun backward.

The rotten corner of the gear reversed its decay like a film played backward. In an instant, it went from porous and crumbling to pristine white, just like the rest of the gear!

Er Dongsheng was stunned. This clock's ability was different from that of Narus, the lion-headed creature. Narus could only use his power on himself, and even then, his control over time was brief and unreliable.
But this clock?
Its power over time worked on the outside world. It could accelerate time at will or restore matter to an earlier state. It practically defied the laws of the Universe!
This thing wielded a power even mighty gods had never mastered.
