Countless people across the Wizard World tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
It was a day every Wizard would remember for the rest of their life.
Donnitz Academy...
The sky hung low and oppressive. In the darkness, tree shadows swayed, and the wind made them shriek. Their black shapes rose and fell like devils.
The enormous Wizard Moon had slipped behind the clouds without a trace. Yet the peculiar reflected light of the Snowfield Plateau kept the surroundings from falling into complete darkness. Vague shapes could still be seen moving through the vast academy.
Donnitz Academy occupied a tenth of the Wizard City. It was comparable in size to the Wizard Academy, and the two stood at opposite ends of the city.
Rumor had it that Donnitz Academy had set its sights on the Wizard Academy from the day it was founded. Some powerful force had to be backing it. How else could it have seized so much land right under the Wizard Academy's nose?
That was like drawing blood from a living body!
Like the Wizard Academy, Donnitz Academy housed more than just Wizards.
Even counting the apprentices, Wizards made up only a small fraction of its population.
All kinds of Wizard Servants lived there: surrendered demon clans from the Sea Region, along with strange races capable of surviving the violent radiation, including some intelligent beasts!
There were plenty of humanoid races, too!
Born with resistance to radiation, these people were not as powerful as Wizards, but they made ideal subordinates for Wizards who were always short of manpower.
