"Hmph! Your world? What nonsense!"
Baal glanced at the enormous eye and sneered. He thrust out a hand, and energy surged toward him from every direction. Strange Laws of Destruction gathered with it, forming an almost unbelievable force.
Crack!
Lightning flashed in answer. It seemed everything in the world moved in time with him.
White snowflakes drifted down from the sky and gathered around Baal, swirling in the wind as his power rose.
The fundamental Laws of space rippled and twisted around Baal. An unseen force flowed toward him, forming an energy vortex visible to the naked eye—a Black Hole.
"Destruction... Destruction... Destruction..."
Transparent figures appeared alongside the Laws, formed perhaps from fragments of memory or some other mysterious substance. They crowded the air and emerged from the ground, from trees, and even from the bodies of startled Demons.
Crying out for destruction, they flocked toward Baal like swallows returning to the nest.
Baal's expression shifted. He parted his lips, and a mass of black fire appeared: the Destruction Core. Like a beacon in the night, it drew every one of those spectral beings home.

Heaven and earth shook. More and more of the strange, transparent substance poured into the Destruction Core, feeding it like oil fed a lamp. The core swelled inch by inch, its black flames burning ever brighter until it resembled a full moon.
