(Thanks to reader Black Jack's Soul for the tip. It's your support all along that has kept Sixue going. Thank you. Also, please read the earlier chapters carefully: Little Sea Demon is not a demon! Their origins will be explained later. So far, Er Dongsheng has truly been good to only one person, and that's Lulu. He isn't kind, but you can't call him evil, either. He has a human soul and is slowly adapting to the cruelty of the Abyss! He couldn't become that cruel and evil overnight! Besides, the rule that demons must be cruel comes from Western society, not China. In Chinese legends, some demons aren't evil! Hánbá is similar to a Flame Demon, but she's just a pitiable woman! What do you think? Don't let yourselves be bound by that rigid Western view. We're Chinese! We have our own mythology! Sixue just wants to write the Abyss as Sixue imagines it! If every book followed exactly the same formula, what would be worth reading in one identical story after another?)
Er Dongsheng examined the few natural, low-grade Rune Stones. They were all junk. Apart from the Spirit Runes on them, which gave him a few ideas, they were nothing but toys! He handed the little things back to the pouting Little Sea Demon. Children's tempers came and went quickly; they were easy enough to coax!
Something about the strange Sea Demon race felt odd to him. As far as he knew, no one in hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years had known of such a race! Er Dongsheng wasn't even sure they were Abyssal Species!
Once he was strong enough, he would have to come back and explore this place properly. It seemed to hold quite a few secrets!
