Elsewhere, the Burning Legion had surrounded the Demigod Realm. Countless demons filled the stars around it, packed so densely that no end was in sight.
There were Succubi, Scorpion Demons, Forest Fairies, Dark Fallen Elves, and a chaotic assortment of other demons. At the front of their ranks, near the Demigod Realm's orbital path, stood four enormous palaces. Each had its own character, steeped in violence, splendor, illusion, or something else entirely.
"See that palace wreathed in black flames, the one radiating destruction?"
A man who had recently fallen and joined the dark races stood at the outer edge of the demon army, muttering to a crowd of Dark Fallen Ones.
"The palace with those fierce black flames?"
"The one with that savage beauty?"
"I see it, I see it! It's almost as big as a small continent. We're miles away and can still make it out. Why ask? It's not somewhere we could ever enter. I hear it's probably where several of Their Majesties, the Devil Masters, live."
"Right! The likes of us aren't even demons. We'd never be allowed inside. They say hardly any demons get in, either."
"A Devil Master's palace... It's so vast and magnificent. Just what you'd expect of—"
