Another enormous pillar of blue light appeared in the eastern Demigod Realm. Its vast power towered beneath the sky, and billions of living beings trembled before it.
After Sky City, the human holy land in the South, and Pompey City, the Sea Folk holy land in the Endless Sea to the West, had been destroyed, the Elf Homeland followed. The birthplace of the Elf, famed throughout the Demigod Realm for its art, was gone.
"Life Ancient Tree, please forgive me!"
"To keep the Elf of the Demigod Realm alive, I have no choice!"
The Elf Homeland was governed by Elf High Priest Ador Lisanna, a woman whose standing among the Elf was second only to the Elf Ruler of the Pantheon in the Divine Realm.
The Elf High Priest was not as powerful as the Elf Ruler, but her role among the Elf could not be overlooked. She could foresee the fate of her people. This crisis was immense, and the Demons would never let a single living being escape the Demigod Realm.
The many gods and great peoples of the Demigod Realm—humans, Elf, Sea Folk, and others—would bear the brunt of it.
"High Priest, is this really right?"
A female Elf watched the suffering Life Ancient Tree, unable to hide her distress.
The ancient Elf tree was engulfed in endless blue flames. Vast quantities of Life Power were being extracted from it. Beside it stood another ancient tree just as immense, shedding specks of starlight. It was Baal's Star Tree!
