Training Ground 98.
Kiba sat beneath the shade of a tree with Akamaru, propping up his face as he waited for his teacher to arrive.
Though they had only known each other for a few days, Kiba already trusted Tobitake Tonbo deeply. He believed Tobitake Tonbo could make him Hokage and give Akamaru a Dog Festival.
"Why isn't Ugly Uncle here yet?"
Kiba stretched lazily, watching the patches of shade cast by the sunlight overhead.
Woof~
Akamaru comforted him from the side.
"I know I shouldn't rush, but just thinking about adding a Dog Festival for you in Konoha fills me with excitement."
Woof woof~
"What? As long as I'm here, every day is Dog Festival? Akamaru, you're the best."
After hearing Akamaru's words, Kiba became even more determined to become Hokage.
Rustle, rustle!
Just then, the sound of beating wings rang out, and a massive shadow fell across the ground.
Kiba looked up to see an eagle as large as a house descending from the sky. It frightened both him and Akamaru into retreating again and again, feeling as though they were about to die.
Too terrifying.
Bang!
The eagle suddenly vanished.
"Kiba, you're up early. Looks like your determination to become Hokage is quite firm!"
Tobitake Tonbo appeared before Kiba, holding a child in each arm.
"Oh, it's Ugly Uncle. You nearly scared me to death. And there are little brother and little sister too." Seeing Tobitake Tonbo, Kiba patted his chest, still shaken.
At the same time, the hope in his heart grew even stronger. His teacher's ninjutsu was so grand, so imposing.
Tobitake Tonbo subtly raised an eyebrow. "What Ugly Uncle? Call me Teacher Tonbo."
"Yes, Ugly Uncle," Kiba responded.
Woof woof~
Wah-yi~
"Doggy~"
Tenyu and Maki cried out as well when they saw the dog.
