Five days passed in the blink of an eye.
While Golden Horn's true body was still immersed in cultivation, the spacecraft's intelligent system spoke. "Master, we are about to arrive at Myriad Monster Star. We are expected to enter the parking orbit in one hour. Please prepare for the landing procedure."
Golden Horn opened his eyes, slightly excited. Was he finally here?
"Activate exterior simulation."
"Command confirmed."
The next moment, the spacecraft's cabin walls gradually turned transparent, revealing the starry sky outside.
All around was pitch-black darkness. Only directly ahead, a massive planet slowly rotated, radiating a faint azure halo. Countless lights flickered across its shadowed side like flowing rivers of stars.
As the spacecraft continued forward, the planet's surface became increasingly clear.
Warships densely patrolled Myriad Monster Star's orbit—small patrol craft, large transport vessels, and jet-black planet-destroying cannon platforms. They floated in the void like slumbering beasts.
Countless satellites formed a web, wrapping the entire planet layer upon layer. Farther away, several enormous space fortresses drifted in orbit, their surfaces covered in menacing gunports that exuded a suffocating sense of oppression.
"What an impressive display," Golden Horn murmured. This was no trade planet. It was clearly a military fortress armed to the teeth, with enough force to make any powerhouse who came here obediently follow the rules.
Soon, the spacecraft system spoke again. "A guidance signal from Myriad Monster Star has been received. This spacecraft is entering for the first time, and the system cannot verify its identity. The guidance station has instructed us to land in Zone F. The map and entry guidelines have been transmitted."
"Dock in Zone F as instructed. Read the entry guidelines once."
"First, attacking others or damaging buildings in public areas is prohibited. Violators will be apprehended on the spot by the enforcement team;
Second, private property is protected. Any act of robbery will be treated as a crime;
Third, the planet has duel arenas. Personal grievances may be resolved through an application for a duel, with life and death at one's own risk;
Fourth, all entrants must obtain temporary or permanent identification within three days;
Fifth..."
Golden Horn listened while silently committing everything to memory. The rules were not overly harsh, but every one of them pointed to a single word: order. And with order came the chance to develop in peace.
The spacecraft continued descending through the clouds. Below lay a vast docking area, where countless spacecraft stood in orderly rows like a forest of metal. In the distance, sprawling clusters of buildings rose and fell in uneven layers, their style rugged and imposing. Giant archways, domes, and stone pillars made every structure appear heavy and ancient.
"Prepare to land."
After the spacecraft docked, Golden Horn disguised himself before disembarking. Having reached the Stellar level, he could easily control his flesh and bones. He grew another horn; Demon Race members with two horns were extremely common.
He also shortened his tail by a third. His thick, scaled tail became slender and nimble, while the scales shifted from pure black to dark gray, blending into the patterns of his bloodline. He now looked like an ordinary Demon Race beast from some remote star system.
"This should be enough." Golden Horn scanned his appearance with his psychic power, confirming that none of the Golden Horned Beast's distinctive features remained. Its most obvious trait was its single golden horn. Now he had two horns, and even his size and coloring had changed. Even someone who had seen him before would not recognize him without close inspection.
His most important life-saving trump card, the core nucleus, was now quietly stored within the Void Beast clone.
"The Void Beast clone will remain on the spacecraft on watch, just in case. The true body will disembark."
Only after giving those instructions did Golden Horn open the hatch and set foot on Myriad Monster Star.
The guide was a female cat demon with a slender figure. She wore a neat uniform, her ears stood upright, and her tail swayed lightly. Her eyes held professional enthusiasm.
"Honored sir, welcome to Myriad Monster Star." She smiled and gave a slight bow. "Zone F mainly handles docking and basic services. If you need anything, I can point you in the right direction."
Golden Horn gave her a brief appraisal. She was at the first rank of the Planetary level. That was considered decent among lower-class demons, yet she could only serve as a guide on Myriad Monster Star. It was clear just how formidable the planet's overall strength was.
Golden Horn waved a claw and flew straight out of Zone F.
The cat demon was merely a docking-area guide, responsible only for receiving visitors and providing basic information. She did not offer private guide services. If he wanted to learn more about Myriad Monster Star, he would have to find his own way.
According to the entry guidelines, he first needed to obtain identification and buy a personal terminal. Otherwise, he would not even be able to contact anyone.
Myriad Monster Star's sky was lofty, its clouds thin. Sunlight filtered through the atmosphere with a touch of warmth. Golden Horn moved onward while observing his surroundings.
The streets were astonishingly broad, hundreds of meters wide, and the buildings on both sides were rugged and primitive in style. Some resembled enormous caves dug into the ground, leaving only arched entrances exposed.
Others were massive stone halls, with doorframes dozens of meters high, clearly designed for the enormous-bodied members of the Demon Race.
"Of course. The Demon Race varies far too much in size. Some are only a few centimeters tall, while others can reach hundreds of meters. This sort of design is more practical instead." Golden Horn silently nodded.
Countless demons moved through the streets. Some retained their beast forms: boar demons with tusks, snake demons dragging long tails, and lizard demons covered in scales.
Others had assumed humanoid forms but retained obvious racial traits, such as cat ears, fox tails, or bull horns. The entire city was full of exotic charm, utterly unlike humanity's skyscrapers.
After compressing himself, Golden Horn stood only a little over ten meters tall. In this city, he appeared unremarkable—perhaps even somewhat ordinary.
As he looked around, a tiny voice suddenly rose from beneath his feet.
"Honored sir! Is this your first time on Myriad Monster Star?"
Golden Horn looked down and saw a little mouse no bigger than his palm. It had grayish-brown fur, and its black bean-like eyes darted around constantly. Its aura had not even reached the Planetary level; it was clearly a native of Myriad Monster Star.
"And you are?"
"Sir, I'm a guide!" The little mouse puffed out his chest and loudly spoke in the universal language. "My name is Mouse Nine-Nine, and I know this area like the back of my paw! Whatever you want to know or do, I can take you there!"
"Oh? How much do you charge?" Golden Horn asked with interest.
"Anything you feel like rewarding me with will do, sir." Mouse Nine-Nine rubbed his tiny paws together and chuckled.
Golden Horn nodded slightly. It was not easy for a lowly little demon like him to make a living this way.
"Fine. Then tell me about this place. It's my first time here, and I need to obtain legal identification."
Mouse Nine-Nine's eyes lit up. "Please follow me, sir!" With that, he prepared to run ahead.
Golden Horn looked at his miniature body. At that speed, they would not arrive even by nightfall.
"Stand on my shoulder." Golden Horn extended a claw, gently lifted Mouse Nine-Nine, and placed him on his broad shoulder.
Mouse Nine-Nine was overwhelmed with gratitude and repeatedly thanked him. "Thank you, sir! Thank you!"
"Your name is Mouse Nine-Nine?" Golden Horn asked as he walked.
"Yes, sir."
"You have ninety-eight older brothers and sisters?"
"Sir, you are wise! Our mouse demon clan is rather numerous. It's normal for a litter to have dozens of children. I rank ninety-ninth, and I still have more than two hundred younger brothers and sisters."
Golden Horn's mouth twitched. That reproductive ability truly was terrifying.
"My name is Golden Horn. Guide me well, and you will be rewarded."
"Yes, Lord Golden Horn!"
