Time flew by.

Before they knew it, a week had passed.

The villa in the Upper East Side.

Roy and Gwen were engaged in close-quarters sparring on the ring in the gym.

More accurately, Roy had taken on the role of a free combat instructor and sparring partner, guiding Gwen.

After Gwen injected the physical enhancement serum and became a superhuman with physical attributes even greater than the Green Goblin's, Roy began training her in combat.

Every evening, they trained in the gym for one or two hours.

As long as he did not want Gwen to hit him, she would never be able to land a blow on him.

When Gwen's movements began to lose form from the heavy drain on her stamina and her breathing grew increasingly ragged, Roy said to her, "Let's call it here for today."

"Okay."

Gwen lowered her aching arms and immediately responded.

After finishing the day's training, Gwen did not head to the bathroom to wash up right away.

Taking a shower immediately after intense exercise was not healthy.

Even though Gwen was now a superhuman, superhumans were still human.

She sat down on a chair beside the ring, replenishing her lost fluids while chatting with Roy.

"I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I always feel like Dr. Connors isn't quite the same as before."

Gwen said with a frown.

"How is he different?"

Roy asked.

"I can't say exactly what has changed, but he just feels different."

Gwen quickly replied.

Could he have already injected the Lizard serum?

I should find some time to go over and confirm it!

Roy immediately made up his mind and said to Gwen, "Maybe the cross-species genetics experiment still hasn't made any key breakthroughs, and the pressure is getting to him."

"Perhaps."

"He's been staying in the lab all day now. He doesn't bring any assistants with him and handles every stage of the experiment alone."

"I heard from the others that management is very dissatisfied with the experiment's progress."

"If Dr. Connors still can't break through the key stages and push the experiment into human trials, management will shut down the laboratory."

Gwen said slowly.

"You've already been interning with him for several months. You'll be starting college soon, so it's time to consider ending the internship."

Roy said calmly.

"I've already told him. I'll end the internship one week before school starts."

Gwen replied.

"If you want to intern at a company while you're in college, I can arrange for you to intern at Stark Industries."

"I'm a director of Stark Industries now, so you can intern in whichever department you want."

Roy said with a smile.

"Mhm."

Gwen nodded and kissed him on the cheek.

After resting for ten or twenty minutes, Gwen left the gym and headed toward the bathroom.

Watching her leave, a thought involuntarily surfaced in Roy's mind.

It's been a long time since I last showered with Gwen. Should I follow her and take a bath together?

Just as he wondered whether Gwen would blush and chase him out of the bathroom or pretend to resist while letting him have his way, an unwelcome guest appeared above the villa.

The next second, his phone rang, and Tony's name appeared on the screen.

He answered the call, and Tony's voice came through.

"I'm in New York. I'm above your house right now."

Hearing Tony's words, Roy frowned slightly and asked, "Do you need something?"

"Yes."

Tony replied quickly.

"What is it?"

Roy continued.

"You'll know when you come out to the garden."

Tony said with a smile.

Although he had no idea what Tony was up to, Roy did not press further and replied, "All right."

After hanging up, he used the Flying Thunder God and instantly traveled from the gym to the garden.

After teleporting to the garden, he looked up at the sky.

Under his gaze, Tony, wearing the Mark VI, swiftly descended in front of him.

The moment Roy saw the reactor on the Mark VI's chest, he knew why Tony had come to see him.

The reactor on the Mark VI's chest was no longer circular in shape, but triangular.

After landing, Tony immediately opened his helmet's faceplate.

Just as he was about to speak, Roy beat him to it. "You flew all the way from Los Angeles to New York just to show off the newly made Third-Generation Energy Reactor. Don't you think that's a little boring?"

"Boring?"

"The Third-Generation Energy Reactor uses an unprecedented clean energy source. This is an invention that will change the era!"

"And you call that boring?"

Tony said with an unhappy expression.

"Yes, yes, an era-changing invention!"

"Do I need to remind you who discovered this new element? You merely stood on his shoulders and synthesized it."

Roy said with a smile.

Tony immediately frowned and complained, "I'm getting more and more curious about how Gwen ended up liking such a buzzkill."

"I'm never a buzzkill in front of her."

"I just don't want to see someone showing off in front of me."

Roy said seriously.

"This isn't showing off. It's a demonstration!"

"I came here to demonstrate the latest Third-Generation Reactor to you!"

Tony replied.

"Fine, you've successfully demonstrated the era-changing Third-Generation Reactor!"

"Do you have anything else? If not, I have some personal matters to take care of."

Roy said slowly.

Tony glared at him and was about to say something when Roy's phone rang.

The caller was an unfamiliar number with no name saved.

Although he did not know who was calling, Roy did not give it much thought and answered immediately.

"This is General Ross. Are you in New York right now?"

"Yes. What's wrong?"

"I have a new commission. The payment is still fifty million dollars..."

Before General Ross could finish, Roy interrupted him with a smile. "You don't want me to capture Banner again, do you?"

"Not Banner!"

"It's Blonsky!"

General Ross replied quickly.

"Explain it clearly. What exactly happened?"

Roy asked.

Without any hesitation, General Ross immediately explained the entire situation.

After Roy heard General Ross's explanation, new commission information immediately appeared in his field of vision.
