"Crush him! Crush him!" the spectators shouted excitedly.
Juggernaut threw the chair aside, grabbed Peter Parker by both legs, and flung him off the ring. Peter slammed hard into the iron cage.
Seeing Peter fall onto the ring, a hot girl below handed Juggernaut an iron bar and shouted, "Break his legs!"
Peter naturally heard that too. Watching Juggernaut charge at him with the iron bar, anger flared in his heart. He suddenly drew his legs back, dodging Juggernaut's blow.
Then he kicked Juggernaut in the lower abdomen. Juggernaut immediately felt as though he had been struck by a sledgehammer, and pain made his body curl up involuntarily.
Seizing the chance, Peter kicked Juggernaut in the head several times in a row, immediately leaving him dazed. Peter's eyes lit up, and he followed with a vicious kick to Juggernaut's head.
Juggernaut's body swayed twice before he collapsed directly onto the ring. Peter, who had been lying on the ring, got to his feet.
Seeing that Juggernaut was completely motionless, the referee signaled to the staff below. The iron cage surrounding the ring slowly rose, and the referee hurried over to check Juggernaut's condition, only to find that he had already passed out.
"It's over! Juggernaut has lost his ability to fight. The winner!" After confirming that Juggernaut could no longer continue, the referee stood up excitedly, grabbed Peter's arm, and raised it high.
Seeing this, the audience outside the ring burst into cheers.
The host shouted, "Ladies and gentlemen, the new winner—Spider-Man!"
Listening to the surrounding crowd cheer for him, Peter felt incomparably happy. He excitedly raised both hands and waved to the spectators around him.
Watching Peter Parker leave with the staff, Meng Zu carefully recalled the plot of Spider-Man 1. It seemed that Peter's uncle, Ben Parker, died that very night.
Ben Parker's death was the most important reason Peter Parker would become Spider-Man in the future. Without Ben Parker's death, perhaps Peter would never have become Spider-Man at all.
An idea suddenly came to Meng Zu. If I save Ben Parker tonight, will there be no Spider-Man in the future?
Forget it. Ben Parker had been shot on the street. By the time Peter arrived, Ben Parker had already been surrounded by crowds and police. If Meng Zu wanted to save Ben Parker, who was on the verge of death, he would need to use one of his little red bottles.
If someone on the verge of death was revived by a bottle of medicine before everyone's eyes, word would definitely get out. The benefit he might gain would be Peter's gratitude, but there would be even more trouble. He was not Tony Stark. Stark had the ability to protect what belonged to him, while Meng Zu would most likely end up running away.
Thinking of this, Meng Zu gave up on saving Ben Parker and continued drinking his happy fat water while watching the rest of the matches.
At nine in the morning, the phone on the bedside table began playing a tune.
Meng Zu lay shirtless in bed. He picked up the phone and looked at it. "Xiao Hai, what is it?"
"Come to the company quickly. There's a huge deal!" Yang Hai's subdued voice came through the phone.
Yang Hai had obviously deliberately lowered his voice on the other end, but Meng Zu could still hear the excitement he could not hide. Smiling, he asked, "What kind of huge deal has you so impatient?"
"It's Tony Stark!"
"Tony Stark? He came to the company to commission a job?" Meng Zu could not help feeling puzzled. What could Tony Stark possibly need to commission them for? Impossible. With Stark's influence, he could easily accomplish anything he wanted. If even Stark could not handle something, could Meng Zu's side manage it?
"It's not that Tony Stark came to the company. Haven't you seen today's news or newspapers?"
Meng Zu dressed as he spoke. "Not yet. I just got up."
"Tony Stark has gone missing!"
"Yes, Tony Stark has been missing for more than two months. The media only reported it today. Ten minutes ago, Tony Stark's assistant, Pepper Potts, came to the company. She wants us to find Tony Stark, and if we do, she'll pay us five million dollars. So hurry over to the company." Yang Hai spoke excitedly, not forgetting to urge Meng Zu to come over.
"I understand. I'll be right there."
The blue sedan sped along the road as Meng Zu drove and pondered.
Missing for more than two months. Looks like Iron Man is about to be born. I saw Peter Parker yesterday, and today I heard that Tony has disappeared. What a coincidence. Aside from Captain America, no superheroes had appeared for years. Now they either didn't appear at all, or they appeared one after another. Sure enough, Iron Man was the signal flare.
After arriving at the company, Meng Zu parked his car and went up to the second floor. The moment he entered, he saw Uncle Yang and Yang Hai sitting at a table with Pepper Potts, who was dressed in professional attire.
Three people—no, four. Happy stood beside Pepper, wearing sunglasses and a black suit.
Meng Zu was naturally no stranger to Pepper and Happy. He often saw them both on television and in newspapers, and the media had long since revealed their identities.
Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's assistant, was responsible for helping Tony Stark manage everything in his life and work.
Happy was Tony Stark's driver and bodyguard. Wherever Tony appeared, Happy could always be seen at his side.
The four of them also noticed Meng Zu's arrival. Uncle Yang stood up, walked over, put an arm around Meng Zu's shoulders, and introduced him to Pepper. "Allow me to introduce him, Ms. Pepper. He's Meng Zu, the man you were looking for. Most of the missing-person commissions at our company are completed by Meng Zu. So far, he has never failed a single commission. You've come to the right person, but whether Meng Zu agrees will be up to him."
Seeing Meng Zu approach, Pepper stood and extended her hand. "Hello, Mr. Meng Zu. I'm Pepper Potts."
"Hello, Ms. Pepper. I didn't expect you to be even more beautiful than you are on television." Meng Zu shook Pepper's hand and praised her.
"Thank you!"
"Hello, Mr. Happy!" Meng Zu then extended his hand toward Happy beside her.
Happy froze for a moment, then quickly reacted and shook Meng Zu's hand. "Hello, Mr. Meng Zu!"
Pepper was constantly worried about Tony, so she got straight to the point. "Mr. Meng Zu, we came here today to commission you to find Tony Stark!"
"Mm. Yang Hai has already told me the general situation. Let me see the commission documents first." Meng Zu nodded.
"Brother Zu, the commission documents haven't been printed yet. After all, Mr. Stark has been missing for more than two months. No one else has found him in all that time, so he definitely won't be easy to find. If you agree to take this commission, I'll print the documents now," Yang Hai explained.
Meng Zu understood what Yang Hai meant. Tony Stark's disappearance was no minor matter. People must have been searching for him over the past two months, yet they had found nothing. That meant this commission would be difficult to complete. If they accepted it rashly and failed, it would affect their reputation.
Meng Zu nodded and asked Pepper, "In that case, let's first understand the situation. Ms. Pepper, could you tell me about Mr. Stark's circumstances?"
"Mm. Two and a half months ago, Tony went to a U.S. military base in Afghanistan to demonstrate new weapons for the military. Afterward, he encountered a terrorist attack and then disappeared," Pepper recounted.
"A terrorist attack! Ms. Pepper, have you considered whether Mr. Stark might already be dead?" Meng Zu asked in return.
Pepper said with certainty, "Tony isn't dead. Since his body did not appear at the scene of that terrorist attack, then he could only have been kidnapped by terrorists."
"Finding someone in the hands of terrorists won't be easy." Meng Zu thought for a moment, then asked with a smile, "Ms. Pepper, may I ask how you learned about me? After all, we live in completely different worlds. We shouldn't have had any connection."
Pepper explained, "Happy told me about you."
"Mr. Happy?" Meng Zu looked at Happy beside her.
Happy explained, "I know some mercenaries. At a mercenary bar, they told me about you. After looking into you, I found that you might be able to locate Mr. Stark, so I introduced you to Pepper."
"All right. In that case, let's discuss the commission."
