Magic and Technology, the Candidate for the Purple Item "Arrow"!

"Mr. Tony Stark?"

Yu Xian's voice rang out.

The ice crystal dragon wings behind him slowly folded away before finally vanishing.

The Hyorinmaru in his hand also returned to the form of an ordinary longsword.

Tony still stood rooted to the spot. Beneath the Mark 1 armor's faceplate, his eyes were vacant.

Everything that had just happened had completely surpassed his understanding.

Was this magic?

"Who are you?"

Tony's voice was somewhat hoarse as he tried his best to suppress the shock in his heart.

Yu Xian sheathed Hyorinmaru, walked over to Tony, and removed his sunglasses, revealing a young and handsome face.

"I'm a Level 7 agent of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, also known as S.H.I.E.L.D."

"You can call me Yu Xian."

Tony frowned deeply. "Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division? How come I've never heard of this department?"

"Of course you haven't." Yu Xian shrugged. "Because we're a secret organization that specializes in handling certain... supernatural incidents."

He pointed at the ice sculptures around them. "Like this one."

Tony looked around. The Ten Rings members frozen into ice sculptures still wore the terrified expressions they had borne at the moment of death. They looked lifelike, like exquisite works of art.

"How... how did you do this? Are you a wizard?"

Other than magic, he could think of nothing more fitting to describe this scene.

Tony's voice trembled slightly.

He could not imagine how a person could possess such terrifying power.

Yu Xian nodded without denying it.

Being a wizard wasn't bad either. Once word got out that I was a wizard, any enemies I ran into would think I was a squishy mage and come in for close combat. I could probably trick quite a few people that way.

Tony's mind was now filled with questions. "Why did you save me?"

"At someone's request." Yu Xian revealed a mysterious smile. "Someone didn't want anything to happen to you."

"Who?"

"Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D." Yu Xian gave him Nick Fury's name. "He believes you're important to this country."

Tony sneered. "Important? Important enough that you could ignore whether I lived or died and let me get kidnapped? And after all these days, where were you? If you had come earlier, Yinsen wouldn't have died!!!"

"This was just an accident." Yu Xian explained, "We didn't expect the Ten Rings to be so bold as to attack you."

Of course, that "we" didn't include me.

He walked over to Tony and patted the shoulder of the Mark I Armor. "But you don't need to worry too much. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s strength is far beyond your imagination."

To make his claim more convincing, Yu Xian used his ability again.

He extended his right hand and cast Ice-Make Magic.

A lifelike ice lotus blossomed, giving off a faint chill.

"This is only a small demonstration." Yu Xian withdrew his power. "S.H.I.E.L.D. possesses many powers beyond anything you can imagine, and I am one of them."

Tony watched the ice lotus dissipate in Yu Xian's hand, and his expression became exceptionally complicated.

He had to admit that the black-haired young man before him, along with the S.H.I.E.L.D. behind him, had indeed shattered his understanding and shown him a different world.

A wondrous, fantastical world.

He had to admit, he was intrigued.

"Mr. Stark!" Yu Xian interrupted Tony's thoughts. "This isn't a place we can stay for long. We need to evacuate quickly."

Yu Xian pointed up at the sky. "Everything that happened here will soon spread. If someone with ulterior motives finds out, it could stir up more trouble. We need to get you out safely before they can react."

Hearing this, Tony took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

He knew Yu Xian was right. This was not a place to linger.

"Fine. Let's go."

Yu Xian nodded and turned toward Catalina.

"Oh, right, Mr. Stark, can you give me this armor of yours?"

Yu Xian suddenly stopped and turned back to ask Tony.

Tony froze. "What?"

"I mean this armor!" Yu Xian pointed at the Mark 1 armor on Tony's body. "It's broken anyway, so why not give it to me? I can take it back and study it."

The Mark I Armor was good stuff!

Now that the Ten Rings had been wiped out because of him, and Tony had not taken flight or smashed the armor into pieces—

Obadiah Stane would have nowhere to get this thing from. It might not be that important, but without it as a stepping stone, how could he continue his most important plan to sell off the reactor?

That wouldn't do. This plot had to return to its original track. I was going to make a few small magical alterations.

Why not change the plot that was originally gathered through the Ten Rings into me personally delivering it?

This was the perfect chance for extortion!

I'm going to make Obadiah Stane pay dearly! Heh heh, you don't want the armor? Do you know what a reactor is? Want one? Then if you don't pay to buy the armor, I'm not doing it!

Tony looked at Yu Xian's utterly serious expression, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

This guy really was a freak.

Nobody besides himself could use this thing. Why would anyone want this pile of scrap metal?

"Take it." Tony said indifferently. "It's useless to me anyway."

"Thanks." Yu Xian grinned. "You're really a generous man."

[Detected that the host is delighted after freeloading off Iron Man. Pleasure points +1000]

Just then, a helicopter appeared in the distant sky.

"Whew..." Tony let out a long breath. He could finally leave.

Yu Xian looked at Iron Man before him and said, "Mr. Stark, it's time for you to go home."

"What about Yinsen?" Tony's hoarse voice came through the faceplate.

"Him?" Yu Xian hesitated before pointing at Yinsen, who had been taken out from the ice nearby. "We'll send him home."

Tony fell silent.

He looked at the frozen Yinsen, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

"Let's go." Breaking the silence, Yu Xian took the lead in walking toward Catalina.

Catalina looked at Yu Xian's back and could not help speaking up. "Captain, you acted first and reported afterward again!"

Yu Xian stopped, turned around, and wore an innocent expression. "What are you talking about? Why don't I understand?"

Catalina stared at Yu Xian as he played dumb, feeling a surge of frustration.

"You bastard, do you even consider me one of your own?"

"You don't tell me anything, not a single thing!!!"

Noticing that the girl was upset, Yu Xian stopped teasing her and replied, "I'll tell you after Tony leaves! Don't rush. I said I'd tell you everything, so I won't hide anything."

Catalina glared at Yu Xian indignantly, but there was nothing she could do about him.

When the distant helicopter arrived, Colonel Rhodey stepped down, immediately gave Tony a hug, and teased, "Happy Horse?"

Yu Xian watched the helicopter fly away.

He walked over to Catalina, gently patted her shoulder, and said, "All right, don't be angry anymore! Now the choice is in your hands. There's something I need your help with, but if you help me with it, you'll be bound to me for the rest of your life."

"I need you to absorb this and save Dr. Yinsen."

Yu Xian took an item from his pocket. It was the only purple item he possessed: the "Arrow."
