It had been born here, grown here, and guarding this place was the creed it upheld throughout its life.

Therefore, Rayquaza would never allow a powerful enemy to intrude upon its territory.

And an enemy that not only appeared but actively released its own aura was, to it, a provocation.

So it came.

It set off from the distant Hoenn horizon and, after dozens of minutes of flight, finally arrived in this land.

The moment it drew near, Rayquaza sensed an incomparably powerful Dragon-type aura.

Its gaze sharpened, its aura surged abruptly, golden particles coiled around its black body, and a symbol meaning Delta appeared upon its forehead.

In an instant, Rayquaza transformed into Mega Rayquaza, preparing to meet the coming battle in its complete form.

The air currents in the sky churned endlessly as vast swathes of white clouds gathered.

Mega Rayquaza's powerful body pierced through the clouds, leaving a striking white trail across the sky.

The next second, it arrived at the "battlefield."

Anger befitting a god filled Rayquaza's eyes as it stared at the massive Dragon-type Pokémon opposite it, with its overwhelming aura and agile, powerful body.

Emerald energy brewed wildly around Rayquaza. Its upper body rose high, its enormous golden eyes glaring down at the white dragon before it.

This was the prelude to Rayquaza's signature move, Dragon Ascent.
