They appeared to have landed in a city park. Beside it ran a clear river, with a bridge stretching across it for pedestrians to cross.
It was evening. The setting sun cast its lingering glow over the lake, and with work hours over, the city's residents strolled leisurely along the streets.
Two young children and an Eevee played in the park. Several girls sat on the grass, chatting happily, while an elderly man in an old-fashioned suit sat on a park bench reading the day's newspaper.
Looking at the scene, Cross could not help sighing. "What a peaceful life!"
