Akala Island lay northeast of Alola.
The island's terrain was very unique. Whether out at sea on the way over or within the jungle, all one had to do was look up to see the volcano standing at the very center of the island.
The island's ecosystem had formed around that volcano. Volcanic ash in the air had made the soil exceptionally fertile, nurturing vast amounts of flowers, grass, trees, farmland, and pastures.
Many different kinds of Pokémon lived here, including Wishiwashi, Lurantis, Marowak, and more.
Worth mentioning was that this island also had its own guardian deity: Tapu Lele.
It was a mysterious Pokémon that loved fluttering about, scattering scale powder that glimmered with an incredible light over humans and Pokémon alike in the spirit of play.
It was said that humans and Pokémon touched by that scale powder would regain their energy in the blink of an eye.
Hu Yang did not know whether he would encounter that Pokémon this time.
But even if he did, Tapu Lele probably would not recognize him anymore.
At that thought, Hu Yang pulled his wandering thoughts back and focused entirely on finding Zeraora.
The surrounding trees were lush and verdant. Golden sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled patches of light across the shadowed ground.
Zeraora lived deep within this forest, leading a secluded life all on its own.
Yet in its daily life, Zeraora did everything it could to protect the Pokémon here, even if it meant getting hurt itself.
"We chased two Pokémon Hunters here yesterday afternoon," Touya slowly explained. "Those two wanted to capture the wild Pokémon in this forest, and then that Pokémon showed up."
"Zeraora," Hu Yang supplied its name.
"Oh, right! Zeraora!" Touya said. "It defeated all six of the Pokémon Hunters'
