When I'm Hokage, You'll Regret It

"Hmph, Hiruzen, did you see that? This is the evil Uchiha! They don't possess even a shred of the Will of Fire. They don't take the village seriously at all!" Danzo stood by the window of the Hokage's Office, staring fixedly through the image from the Telescope Technique at Uchiha Chuan's lazy appearance in the classroom, his tone full of fury and disdain.

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sat behind his desk with his hands clasped beneath his chin, his gaze deep as he watched Uchiha Chuan in the image. After a moment of silence, he slowly said, "Danzo, I know what you want to say. Whether you want him or intend to do anything, go to the Uchiha Clan and ask for him yourself. A Hokage's order cannot be used for this."

Danzo abruptly turned around, his cold eyes fixed on Hiruzen Sarutobi as he spoke with a hint of mockery. "Hmph, as long as he goes 'voluntarily,' that will do, won't it? No matter how arrogant the Uchiha Clan is, they wouldn't dare openly defy the will of the village."

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned, his tone warning. "Danzo, don't act recklessly. The Uchiha Clan isn't something you can manipulate at will, especially Uchiha Chuan. Behind him stands the entire Uchiha Clan, as well as those ninja clans watching from the shadows. If you act rashly, the consequences will be unthinkable. When that happens, even I won't be able to protect you."

Danzo sneered, his tone dripping with disdain. "Hiruzen, you're too weak! It's precisely because of your indecisiveness that the Uchiha Clan has grown more and more arrogant! They don't take the village seriously at all. They even openly provoke teachers in class and spread that twisted nonsense! Uchiha like them will sooner or later become a disaster for the village!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression darkened, and his voice carried unquestionable authority. "Danzo, I am the Hokage! I decide the village's policies. All you need to do is carry out orders, not question my decisions here!"

Danzo's face instantly turned livid. He slammed his hand against the desk and roared, "Hiruzen, you'll regret this! When the day comes that the Uchiha Clan rebels, you'll understand that your mercy will only harm the village!"

With that, Danzo turned and slammed the door behind him as he left. The door to the Hokage's Office boomed with a loud bang, making the entire room seem to tremble.

A brief silence fell over the office. Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura exchanged glances and shook their heads helplessly.

"That Danzo is getting more and more out of hand." Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed, his tone carrying a trace of exhaustion.

Utatane Koharu rolled her eyes, teasingly saying, "Enough, Hiruzen. Danzo is already gone, so you don't need to keep pretending. We all know that the evil Uchiha cannot be changed. We need to keep pressure on them."

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned, but his tone remained calm. "Koharu, I've said it many times. The Uchiha Clan is part of Konoha. As Hokage, I naturally must treat everyone equally."

Mitokado Homura sneered and cut in, "Hiruzen, stop pretending. That brat Uchiha Chuan isn't like the other Uchiha. The others are proud and arrogant, disdainful of debating with anyone, and use violence whenever they encounter a problem. Uchiha like that can easily make everyone hostile toward them, avoid them, and isolate them. No matter how much they contribute to the village, it will be difficult for them to regain the villagers' trust."

He paused before continuing, "But Uchiha Chuan is different. His thinking is complete, and he's also highly skilled at argument. He can always find his opponent's weaknesses and press his advantage. Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura exchanged glances, then both rolled their eyes disdainfully.

"Hiruzen, stop saying such high-sounding words." Utatane Koharu sneered. "The Uchiha Clan's Sharingan is inherently a dangerous power. Restless factors flow in their blood; that is an indisputable fact. The more you indulge them, the more they will push their luck."

Mitokado Homura nodded as well, his tone cold. "Hiruzen, as Hokage, you should put the village's interests first. The Uchiha Clan's very existence is a hidden danger. If you continue to let them run unchecked, it will sooner or later lead to a catastrophe."

Hiruzen Sarutobi fell silent for a moment before finally sighing, his voice tinged with weariness. "You're right, but not entirely. The Uchiha Clan does have its peculiarities, but that doesn't mean they are enemies of the village. What we need is guidance, not exclusion."

Utatane Koharu sneered, her tone mocking. "Guidance? Hiruzen, you're too naive. The Uchiha Clan has never needed guidance. What they need is suppression. Only by making them understand that the village's power far surpasses theirs will they behave themselves."

Mitokado Homura nodded too, his tone cold. "Hiruzen, as Hokage, you should understand this. The Uchiha Clan's very existence is a threat. If you continue to let them run unchecked, it will sooner or later lead to a catastrophe."

Hiruzen Sarutobi remained silent.

Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura exchanged glances and shook their heads together, clearly disappointed by Hiruzen Sarutobi's attitude.

"Hiruzen, you'll regret this," Utatane Koharu said coldly. "When the day comes that the Uchiha Clan rebels, you'll understand that your mercy will only harm the village."

Hiruzen Sarutobi did not answer. He merely looked silently out the window, a complicated look in his eyes.

Perhaps I really should do something. Hiruzen Sarutobi thought silently, a flicker of resolve passing through his eyes.

If Uchiha Chuan had heard that, he would have laughed without restraint. In the original story, the Uchiha had been foolish enough to believe Hiruzen would truly do something, yet what awaited them was the annihilation of their clan.

Of course, as someone content to lie flat, even if Uchiha Chuan had heard it, he would not have stirred.
