Werther watched the "Beasts" charge at him. They were fairly strong; out at sea, each of them could have commanded a bounty in the tens of millions.
But against Werther, they were still far too weak.
He activated Lightning Mode at low Speed, then became a streak of blue light in the Indigenous People's eyes.
"Ah! Run, Milly! We can't beat him! Let Leader avenge us!"
Milly stared at her slaughtered clansmen, fear filling her eyes.
They had gone out to hunt, only to run into another intruder.
Because the last group of intruders had behaved so arrogantly, they had agreed to kill this one on sight. They had never expected him to be so strong—too strong for them to stop.
"Everyone, I—"
"Go! Do you want us to die for nothing? Ah!" A burly man who had transformed into a half-man, half-wolf was cut off mid-sentence as Werther's twin swords sliced him into pieces.
"Hm? So you lot still have your senses. Then why do I feel such a frenzied aura coming from you? Strange."
Werther realized they were stalling to let the Girl behind them escape. That struck him as odd. Through his Electromagnetic Barrier, their auras after transforming had felt wild and twisted.
"I understand! I'll tell Leader and have him avenge you. I promise!"
Milly, the girl, began to transform as well. A pair of bird wings grew from her back, and yellow-gray feathers spread across her body. She flapped twice and flew toward Kong.
Werther watched the Girl fly away without hurrying after her. He had let her go on purpose; he wanted to see where these Indigenous People lived.
Once the Girl had flown away, Werther stopped playing along. He burst into motion. Before the Indigenous People understood what was happening, blue light flashed
