Anita stared, dumbfounded, her mouth hanging open.
"Baldy, just how terrifying is your reputation? Those were Pirates, weren't they? You scared them off with one sentence?"
Werther hadn't expected that either.
"Uh, if I remember right, that woman is a Pirate with a bounty of 140 million Beli."
Anita had just taken a sip of juice. When she heard the bounty, she choked and started coughing.
"Cough, cough! How could a Pirate worth over a hundred million be such a coward? I can't believe it."
"That wasn't cowardice. It was knowing how to survive. Picking a fight with someone you can't beat is stupid."
Anita nodded. She understood what Werther meant.
And so the three of them spent their days eating, drinking, and having fun on the Island of Love and Flowers.
Werther was probably the happiest of them all. He wandered the island by day and returned to Sophia's shop at night to lavish attention on the mature beauty.
A week later, Werther's Dragon Hide Coat was finally finished.
It was a fitted coat, black on the outside and Red-Haired on the inside. Since Werther and Sophia had spent every night exploring the origins of humanity, she had had plenty of chances to measure him. The coat fit perfectly.
Special treatment had made the Dragon Hide as soft as cloth without sacrificing its formidable protection.
Werther put on the coat and looked at Sophia.
"I'm leaving."
"I know."
Werther nodded. He knew Sophia wasn't the sort of woman who would settle down. Otherwise, she wouldn't have stayed single all this time.
"If anything happens, contact me by Den Den Mushi. If anyone gives you trouble, tell them you're under my protection."
With that, Werther turned and pushed open the shop door.
"If you miss me, come back."
