With only half his head left, Whitebeard looked at Werther and took a step forward, but staggered.

"Heh, Whitebeard, you really impress me. You're still alive after all that. What a monster."

Werther flashed to Whitebeard's side. With half his head blown away, Whitebeard could only see out of one side, so he swung a fist toward Werther by instinct.

The punch went straight for Werther's head, but it was much slower than before. Losing half his head had clearly dealt Whitebeard a devastating blow.

Werther dodged the fist with ease, then drove both Intent Blood blades into Whitebeard's chest.

Whitebeard narrowed his one remaining eye. He was about to attack Werther again when he realized the two Cursed Swords buried in his chest were rapidly draining his blood, leaving him weak all over.

With Intent Blood lodged in Whitebeard's chest, lightning surged from Werther's hands into Whitebeard's body, numbing him.

Werther could feel Intent Blood's excitement. Whitebeard's blood was precisely the blood of a powerful fighter it needed to evolve.

Whitebeard knew he would soon be drained dry if he did not break free of the blades. With a roar, he sent an enormous ring of white light bursting from his body.

Hummm.

A powerful shock wave slammed into Werther. Caught off guard, he was hurled away, and Intent Blood came free of Whitebeard's body.

"Huff... huff... huff..."

After a few ragged breaths, Whitebeard fixed his gaze on Werther again, but he no longer had the strength to advance.

"Zehahaha! Pops, you're looking pretty miserable."

Laughter suddenly rang out from the Execution Platform, drawing every eye on the battlefield toward it.

Whitebeard looked too. When he saw the figure on the platform, his grip tightened around his Naginata. This man was the cause of everything.

"You bastard."
