After the Werther-An-Tuski Wavebreaker had sailed upward for a while, streaks of white current appeared before Werther.
The currents spun furiously, like white snakes writhing through the sea.
"Anita, do we need to ride those currents?"
Anita shook her head.
"No. We just need to keep ascending. If we get caught in one, we might be swept straight to the surface if we're lucky. If we're not, we could be dragged back to the seafloor and smashed against the rocks. The ship would be destroyed, and we'd all die."
After they had sailed for some time, though, Werther felt as if someone was missing from the ship. Then it hit him: Bonney had never come back aboard.
That was strange. He had told her through the Den Den Mushi before they left, but she still hadn't returned.
Werther had put Bonney out of his mind after notifying her. Now it looked as though she had run away.
He scratched his head. Running off while wearing a Seastone collar? What was wrong with that woman?
But he immediately dismissed the thought when he found the collar in his bedroom.
Looking at it, Werther couldn't help laughing.
"She's got some skill. Even with a two-digit code, she managed to guess it."
He tossed the collar in his hand and marveled at her luck.
On Fish-Man Island, Bonney watched Werther's ship disappear from sight and could barely contain her excitement.
She was finally free. After that man had spent six months having sex with her, she was free. She had long since lost count of how many times it had happened.
Worse still, she felt she had gone from resisting it, to getting used to it, to actually enjoying it in the end.
