Werther checked his injuries.
The S Drug had worked wonders, but he had drunk too little of it to heal completely. At least his internal organs had recovered somewhat, and feeling had returned after the earlier numbness.
Werther was more than satisfied with that. Fujitora's injuries were hardly any lighter than his own.
Still, Werther felt his body wasn't tough enough.
He had cut open Fujitora's shoulder with Sword Aura and stabbed him in the chest, yet after a short rest, Fujitora had already recovered some of his strength.
Both men knew that, battered as they looked, neither had suffered a crippling injury.
Fujitora gripped his Cane Sword tightly, holding it before him in a guarded stance.
Having just caught Fujitora off guard, Werther immediately grew wary and pushed his Observation Haki to its limit.
But nothing happened for a while, leaving Werther puzzled.
Even so, a faint sense of danger nagged at him. He sent a slash of Sword Aura at Fujitora.
The pale-blue Sword Aura whistled through the air and reached Fujitora in an instant.
Fujitora merely raised his Cane Sword to block it, then resumed the same stance.
Werther's unease deepened. Fujitora was definitely preparing some kind of attack, and it had to be devastating. Otherwise, he would never take such a risk.
"Gravity Blade: Earth Might."
Fujitora drove his Cane Sword hard into the ground. Purple light spread across the earth and enveloped the ground beneath Werther's feet in the blink of an eye.
Werther started retreating the moment he saw the attack, before the light could reach him.
But the purple light raced across the ground almost as fast as light itself.
Fast as Werther was, he could not outrun light. It caught him almost immediately.
When the ground beneath him began to glow purple,
