Kaido looked at the severed arm flying through the air and smiled. His pale teeth gleamed coldly in the sunlight.
To Werther's surprise, Kaido caught the arm and pressed it back against the wound.
Three seconds later, Kaido had healed completely.
The gash across his chest had vanished, and his reattached arm moved freely.
"Not bad. You actually cut off my arm. It's been a long time since anyone managed that."
Kaido picked up his Spiked Club and rolled his shoulders.
"You're worth taking seriously."
As Kaido spoke, the pressure he gave off began to rise.
Werther felt the growing danger. His delight at gaining so much Life Force vanished, and his expression turned grim. Kaido was getting serious.
Kaido coated one leg in Haki and stamped the ground.
Thud.
Werther felt a force surge through the Island beneath his feet, then race toward him through the ground.
He was about to jump clear when a dark blur suddenly shot toward him.
Before Werther could dodge, it slammed into him.
The world spun, and Kaido sent him flying into the distance.
Werther had not seen what happened, but the people at the edge of the Island had.
Kaido had stamped on the ground, shaking the entire Island. Stones of every size had leapt into the air from the force of that single step.
While the island was still shaking, Kaido coated his Spiked Club in Armament Haki and threw it, copying Werther.
When Speed reached a certain level, it gave rise to power. Likewise, when power reached a certain level, it gave rise to Speed.
The club broke the sound barrier after leaving Kaido's hand, then struck Werther head-on.
"Did Kaido win? Just like that? I guess one of the Four Emperors really isn't so easy to challenge."
