Werther chuckled at the beautiful woman with short purple hair standing rigid before him.

"Didn't you hear me? Put the Pocket Watch back."

The woman's slender legs trembled, and her delicate hands began to shake.

Yet one of those hands held a Pocket Watch—Werther's Pocket Watch. The beauty was a thief.

As if it took every ounce of strength she had, she slipped the Pocket Watch back into Werther's pocket.

"What's your name?"

Werther's voice remained calm, but to her, it sounded cold.

"Ca-Carina."

Hearing the tremor in Carina's voice, Werther couldn't help chuckling again.

"With nerves like yours, you're a thief? Your technique's practiced enough, though. Do you have another name? I can't say I've heard of Carina."

Carina hesitated before answering.

“People call me Fox Cat.”

The name sounded familiar to Werther. He felt as though he'd heard it somewhere before.

“Fox Cat? Do you know Cat Burglar?”

Carina nodded, a bad feeling creeping over her. Does this guy have a grudge against Nami?

After some effort, Werther finally remembered who she was. Wasn't she a character from the Gold City movie in his previous life?

Werther knew the broad outline of Gold City's story and some of its characters, but before the movie had even opened in his country, he'd been transported to the Pirate World.

"Hmm. I think I know who you are. Follow me."

With that, Werther continued leading Lisa home, paying no attention to whether Carina followed.

From Carina's reaction, he could tell she had probably recognized him—and that she was scared out of her wits.

Still, she had guts to try stealing from him after recognizing him. Given what he knew of her, though, it wasn't too surprising.
