A child's clear voice woke Werther. Still groggy, he felt a little lost.
He looked around and grew even more confused. He was lying on a Sofa in a living room.
After a moment, Werther finally remembered what had happened.
Yesterday, when he had strengthened his Thunder Core, it had released so much Lightning that a large section of the King's Plateau had been destroyed.
That had left Werther homeless. Dressrosa wasn't particularly cold, but sleeping outside still sounded miserable, so he had come to stay with Monet.
Monet had generously lent him her sofa, taking in the wanderer. Already exhausted, Werther had lain down and fallen asleep. He couldn't remember anything after that.
"What are you doing here, Sugar?"
Werther regretted the question as soon as he asked it. Sugar had probably come to stay with Monet too.
"Isn't it obvious? You blasted my house into ruins. Of course I needed somewhere to sleep. But Monet tosses around in her sleep. She kept hugging me so tightly I barely slept all night."
