The sudden halt in cannon fire took the Red Hair Pirates by surprise.
After a careful look, Benn Beckman quickly understood why.
"They want us to come ashore? Fine by me."
Benn Beckman lit a cigarette and ordered the Red Hair Pirates to cease fire.

The Red Hair Pirates, by contrast, favored quality. They even assessed a pirate's character before accepting him.
They would not take in anyone guilty of the worst crimes.
"Thunder Swordsman. I didn't expect us to meet again so soon."
Benn Beckman smiled at Werther, though he held his rifle in hand.
