The serpentine Sea King's body convulsed. It could probably sense its Life Force draining away.
Panic seized it. It had never imagined that the human, no bigger than a grain of rice in its eyes, could take its life.
This Sea King was remarkably intelligent, perhaps as intelligent as a human.
"Roar!"
Its roar had once been thunderous. Now it sounded almost helpless.
The commotion on the shore drew over several members of the Beasts Pirates.
They stared in shock when they saw the colossal Sea King.
"What kind of Monster is that?"
"Looks like a Sea King, but that size is ridiculous. It must be several thousand meters long."
"Stay back. Don't provoke something like that. But... does anyone else think it looks a little helpless?"
The pirate who had said it couldn't help giving a wry smile.
How could a Monster that size be helpless? Surely no human could face it head-on. Surely...
"Lord Werther is fighting this Monster. Compared to this Sea King, Lord Werther is the real Monster."
The pirate who had witnessed everything spoke in a daze. What he had just seen was so astonishing that he still hadn't recovered.
"You're joking. A human can actually fight that thing?"
"If it's Lord Werther, maybe. And if that Sea King offended him, knowing his temper..."
The pirates fell silent and stood there at a loss.
It wasn't that they didn't want to help. In a fight like this, they wouldn't even qualify as cannon fodder.
If they went forward now, the thrashing Sea King might flatten them.
After struggling for a while, the serpentine Sea King realized it was useless. It couldn't shake the terrifying human off its body.
Resolve flashed through its enormous pale-yellow eyes. It stopped rolling and turned its head. Its supple, pythonlike
