Werther roared and glared fiercely at the King of the Sky.
The King of the Sky ducked his head. He did not dare make a sound and simply kept flying.
"Haha, this eagle is hilarious. Where are we now? I don't think we're in the New World anymore."
Ruri Chie held Masamune in her arms, her large, dark eyes narrowing with laughter.
"I'll castrate you sooner or later. That'll teach you to chase other females."
Werther took out his compass and sea chart and compared them carefully. He soon reached a conclusion: they were in the West Blue...
This was what had happened. On long, uneventful journeys, Werther usually took a nap on the King of the Sky's back. There was nothing else to do.
But no one had expected the King of the Sky to encounter a female eagle in midflight, let alone one close to him in size.
The King of the Sky was thrilled. Overcome with lust, he immediately flew after her.
But the King of the Sky had forgotten how terrified other birds were of him.
His pursuit scared the female eagle half to death. She thought he meant to eat her.
They might have been similar in size, but if they had fought, the King of the Sky would have torn her apart in less than two minutes.
And so, with one chasing and the other fleeing, the King of the Sky crossed the Calm Belt and reached the West Blue.
Ruri Chie had also been resting, but the King of the Sky woke her. Once she realized something was wrong, she immediately roused Werther.
Werther was not easy to wake, of course. By the time she managed it, the King of the Sky
