Werther's guess made Vice Admiral Kalamy's pupils contract.

"Arrogant fool! I simply refuse to hand that Dyna Stone over to a villain like you for nothing. Everything I do is for justice!

"Men! Surround him! Form up and open fire!"

As he issued orders to the Marines, Kalamy turned and hurried into the base, vanishing from sight.

A large number of Marines formed two orderly ranks in front of Werther.

The front rank crouched, while the rank behind them stood.

Bang, bang, bang!

Gunshots rang out in a steady rhythm. A dense barrage of bullets hurtled toward Werther.

Whatever their individual strength, the Marines' well-drilled formation was impressive.
