After Werther pulled out Intent Blood, Hancock dropped to her knees.
Hancock was far from weak, but Werther's Shadowless ability had caught her badly off guard.
Even in a head-on fight, though, Werther could have crushed her.
"You think you can save Straw Hat looking like that? You'd be better off dying with him."
Sword in hand, Werther walked slowly toward Hancock.
Blood spilled from the corner of her mouth and dripped onto the ground.
Hancock had never imagined Werther would be this strong. In her mind, he had only grown a little stronger since the Summit War.
"All men deserve to die. Every last one!"
Blood filling her mouth, Hancock stubbornly forced herself to her feet.
"Is that so? Then kill me if you can."
Werther vanished again. Hancock's pupils contracted as she desperately searched for him.

A series of explosions suddenly broke the calm of the Sabaody Archipelago.
Ten minutes later, Werther stood across from Hancock, who was covered in blood.
"I'll never forgive you. Even if I die, I'll drag you down to hell with me."
One of Hancock's arms hung limp. Several sword cuts marked her body, and blood ran down her fair forehead.
Werther gave a soft laugh and ignored her threat.
"Werther, my friend, you've taught Hancock a lesson. Why not leave it at that?"
Rayleigh stepped forward and stood in front of Hancock.
"Rayleigh, I consider you a drinking buddy. Don't stand in my way."
Only two people could stop Werther once he was fighting. Rayleigh was not one of them.
"And if I insist?"
Rayleigh was no pushover. As Roger's former companion, he would not back down because Werther told him to.
