After capturing Pudding, Werther had used her to erase many people's memories. Then he had imprisoned her in a large glass tube, leaving her unable even to die.
Tubes from life-support equipment covered her body as she floated in pale green liquid. Every day, she remained in a pitch-black room, sometimes going months without seeing another person. The only other living thing nearby was a surveillance Den Den Mushi.
The Memo-Memo Fruit had kept Pudding sane, but only barely. Every day, she longed for death and could not have it.
