Minnie waited silently as Jones bandaged her wounds. Several times, she opened her mouth to speak, but each time, a sharp look from him stopped her.

Jones blinked at the complaint, then turned to Minnie and asked quietly, "Who's that guy?"

"One of my fellow Elite Camp trainees I told you about. He ranked second after Loa left. His name's Mingde," Minnie explained, equally quietly.

"Second?" Jones let out a sound of recognition. "Oh, I remember. The guy who challenged Loa and got flattened in one move? He came second? No offense, but your Elite Camp class was pretty weak."

Minnie's face darkened.

It's true, but aren't you my brother? Did you have to rub it in?!

Jones failed to notice her expression and kept talking. "I remember another batch that had just graduated from the Elite Camp a few years ago. They tried to hunt me down. One of them really stuck in my mind—Smoker, or something like that. A Logia user. He was a real pain to deal with."

"Good thing I knew Haki, or I would've—"

"Shut up!" Minnie cut off his boasting with an angry look and sent him
