Only Loa could make eavesdropping sound so justified. Still, it wasn't a bad idea.
Everyone's eyes lit up, and they followed Loa out the door. The group marched down the corridor and stopped outside a room on the castle's second floor.
Loa raised a fist above his head, signaling everyone behind him to be quiet. Then they all crept up to the door on tiptoe like thieves and pressed close.

Simon's angry shout greeted them the moment they arrived. Everyone outside perked up. They had come at just the right time!
Inside the room, Mole lay on a sickbed, his eyes dull. He gave a self-mocking smile. "Fair enough. Any excuse I give now will only make me look like a coward."

Mole's expression suddenly turned grave. "You're a son of the Westin Family too. You should know better than an outsider like me what would have happened to your entire family if I hadn't done it!"
