If anyone had once asked Loa what he thought of wind, he would have said it was a natural phenomenon caused by air in Motion.
But if someone asked him now, his answer would be different.
It gets everywhere!
The enhanced Ice Dragon's Roar had covered enough ground to destroy an island like Motte Island. Yet Dragon's Wind Dragon had forced its way through the gaps at the edges, leaving cuts all over Loa.
"Urgh!"
The Wind Dragon struck with such force that Loa tasted blood. He coughed up a mouthful and went flying.
But Dragon was hardly faring any better.
After all, Loa had launched his attack right beside Dragon's sailboat! There was no escaping a blizzard of that scale. Dragon had to hold it back if he wanted most of the people aboard to survive.
Yes, most of them.
He had never believed every one of his subordinates could survive an attack like that. Saving the majority would be proof enough of his strength.
The instant Ice Dragon's Roar collided with the Wind Dragon, Dragon activated his power. An oval barrier of wind appeared at the bow and enclosed the sailboat like an eggshell.
But he had underestimated Loa's attack. He had also overestimated himself.
His fierce winds could block most of the ice shards, robbing Ice Dragon's Roar of the cutting force that made it so deadly. But cold was not something wind alone could blow away.
In fact, his winds carried the chill of Loa's Dragon Slayer Magic everywhere. Its ability to slip through every opening had hurt Loa badly, and now Dragon's subordinates were suffering too.
Many of them had no time to react to the sudden drop in temperature before the dreadful cold froze them solid.
The sight filled Dragon with anguish. He roared
